George Harrison was a fantastic guitarist and an outstanding songwriter!

Hey just wanted to say a big thank you. Yesterday, out of nowhere that song came into my head. I always liked it but was never one of the more popular songs that came to mind. Then I found your lesson. Very well explained and picked it up quickly and just ran through it. My range is still there but boy, we all had fresh lungs back then and he really has a sustain off of that Am. Thanks again mate.

It's a shame George didn't do It a Unplugged or VH1 specials, he had perfect songs for it. This is my favorite song of him.

This man does the best tutorials ever. All is perfect. On the top of it he is not playing the role of the unknown star who is making jokes every 10 seconds. It is a very serious work, precise, well explained.

You can really tell how good a song is from just hearing it on an acoustic guitar and this one definitely qualifies; just gorgeous. Loved the version on the Early Takes album as well. Thanks for the link and thanks for this lesson.

I really enjoy your tutorials, if I want to learn a song your videos are my first choice for accurate detailed instructions. You make it quick and simple to learn stuff. One obviously has to be of a certain level because they’re very professional. In my humble opinion the best tutorials on KZbin, thanks for your efforts!

Thank You Once Again...I'm curious about George Harrison and using the Capo at the 7th Fret on more than a few songs...I attribute it to his Love For the UKELELE...I'm not sure if many know about that, about George and his like for the Ukelele...he always had many on hand and gave one to everyone who came to visit...It just makes sense to me anyways of the Capo at the 7th Fret and how it correlates to the Ukelele. And once again, a BIG Thank You...Your Videos and Lessons have improved my playing by so much.

fav George track as well. with the 2000 Anniversary re-issue, George said he still liked this song. Thanks for posting ! I tried the capo on the 7th fret and it sounded quite pretty in that part of the neck, especially that descending line, but also sounds good with singing if I just play in C, first position. "Beware of Darkness", another good one from that album, or the one penned with Zimme..."I'd Have You Anytime." btw Congrats Andy on your kudos from Townsend re : "Blackbird"...he didn't have to ring Mac.

A truly beautiful song from George Harrison. What a great chord progression with some brilliant changes in 4 to 3 meter and inclusion of modes. The acoustic demo is great too but that sped up version with the harmony lead guitars completely lacks the emotion that the other two versions have in my opinion

I love you for posting this. But... I'm wondering if George plays the main body of the chord progression with lower voicings. Perhaps Peter Frampton, or the cats from Badfinger, play lower inversions on the studio version.

George has always gotten a bad rap for his playing. Even in the early Beatle years, when you deconstruct his playing, you find he was awesome. He got better and better as he went on with his career. ATMP is a masterpiece, IMO. Thanks for this masterful lesson, I just listened to the album last week again and forgot how great this song is.
