This was definitely an instance of less is more. Having that slow build up of Sid thinking Woody was broken, then thinking someone is playing a prank on him, then revealing Toys are actually alive, all leading up to Woody FINALLY talking and animating in front of him was way more impactful then Woody and Buzz just walking and talking right away.

It still bugs me sometimes that(as far as i know) there never was a toy, either hero or villain, that objected to the nature of toys. I don't mean the love from a kid vs the safety of a display case(as of the plot of Toy Story 2), i mean the nature of toys playing dead in the presence of people. Why was there never a toy who didn't "play along" and revealed their sentience to someone?

From the look of Woody, I suspect this is from the Black Friday reel, where Woody was more of a jerk to everybody in the story. This did a lot of damage to Pixar, so I can see them pulling back extensively even against a villain.

Eran otras epocas y aparte el director de Disney en su momento Jeffrey Kratzenberg (Director y fundador de Dreamworks SKG) quería una historia algo oscura y se realizaron esos storyboards hasta hay un video llamado "Black Friday", Woody era un egoista y trataba a los juguetes como esclavos y Buzz sabía que era un juguete pero solo quería llamar la atención y en la escena original de la lampara, Woody lanza a Buzz a la ventana Los empleados hasta John Lasseter eran explotados y no les gustaban la historia ni el personaje de Woody

Even if Sid has genuine fun with those fireworks(the song "make a little noise" from "toy story the musical" comes to mind), he's still having fun at his toy's expense, If I had access to fireworks the way he does, I would try and make vivid colors zip and burst and twirl, like my family has done on 3 trips to Nevada in the past, now if only I could find a way to acquire lengths of spare fuse on my next trip(both regular burn rate and extra fast), that way I could chain fire the various fireworks and time them to synchronize with each other.
