Both Metformine and Glucophage gave me runs all day long for months. No one mentioned B12. Then put me on ACTOS, gained 120 lbs, COPD symptoms, extreme muscle weakness. Went off ACTOS, and onto insulin, lost 60 lbs, COPD be a me occassional,as the, and able to walk more. But I think some is permanent. Bottom line ACTOS ruined my life and career and it continues to ruin my retirement long after stopping it.

I suppose it depends of the person. I began taking metformin when I was 45, for type 2 diabetes. I have taken it for 35 years, most of that time 2X1000mgs daily. I'm 80 now. No side effects, and It greatly helps me maintain a normal A1C while eating at least some of the things I do not want to give up. If that is "cheating" it's fine with me. At am now 80 years old and healthy. I am wondering if the only side effective I will have is the longevity one. If so, I can live with that. Metformin works great for me and it's free with my insurance. I don't remember my doctor mentioning any side effects 35 years ago but that was fine, because I didn't have any........I also had no internet to read about the horrible side effects....

After clicking on your video, I got two classy ads, aimed at an affluent, educated, young demographic. This is markedly better than the ads assigned to other videos I watched, tonight (creepy, ugly ads, featuring elderly people who look like conmen who just got out of prison - and the prison should have kept them locked-up). If we are able to control blood sugar levels with diet and food, I would think this is better than using a drug even if Is met formin? I think I remember Dr. Balzirai saying that in class..

Of course, it is! Unfortunately, however, not all people are able to do that. I am all for creating more options to access good health, but no pill 💊 is going to substitute food and lifestyle.
