Great technique Brian. I'm 6'4" and use this with the heavy weights. Gift wrapcid usually easy get. I always stayed on my knees but standing on your feet seems more effective. Thanks for sharing.

Coach, can you just lift him up like that to insert a hook if you just have a standard seat belt grip as opposed to a kimura grip?

Hey Brian, amazing technique, but what can I do when the opponent keeps his crossface (or 'frame') instead of pummeling to the underhook with his upper arm (when he is on his side) - I get that like every sparring session, but haven't yet found an answer that is quick enough to counter it... regards from Germany!

I'm glad for any tip by whoever, because it is really frustrating :D

@@dome4life736 in my opinion, the simplest answer would be go knee on belly to flatten him back down. I also think you could still hit the side switch even if he doesn't go for the underhook. There also could be potential for a step over armbar.

Coach, does this move work if he doesn't pummel an underhook?

yes it does!

@@TeachMeGrappling But what if the guy is framing your neck or hips? Would we still be able to spin around? Might be a good idea to make a video on it Coach!
