I really like how Brian teaches. This video solves like 20 things I have been struggling with. The leg walk with the scrape, the chair sit details on breaking his posture down to get in, the stretch out. Thats something I have been doing but it makes more sense now. Even the smooth body triangle transition.

see guys, there are a few types of coaches: - good coaches, - excellent coaches, - awesome coaches - don't you guys dare pointing out the negative versions of coaches! those we just don't mention.. but this Brian, he is a level beyong all above! personnality and knowledge combined, you fill in the superlative to describe the priceless quality of his videos/teaching. even platinum is an insult ;-)

Thanks again Coach Brian, I've used this "Tightest Darce Alive" setup to get peoples elbow away from their body for side control attacks, but this is AWESOME! For those that don't subscribe, like, ring the bell, or contribute, I'll just keep taking gold at tournaments at least one, two, or three age groups down, and usually a weight class up.

7:58 no way! We need another take. He was so lying it's obvious. And these live examples are perfect. I wish we did that with each move at my gym. That's when I learn a move, when we use real resistance. Otherwise it's a dance move I practiced for 15 min and dance moves don't work in live rolling. Thanks!

Wow. Great stuff as usual. However when smashing the legs to the opposite side, how do you prevent the person at the bottom from catching the back of your knee with his leg that's on top?
@TeachMeGrappling5 жыл бұрын
One idea is to keep running into it instead of away. Another is to position your leg at an angle that doesn’t allow the hook. Every grappler’s type is different some this is easy, some you have to be very precise. If it happens turning your hips away and sliding out also works. 🤙

Initially, I thought you said "a rocked out 130 pound LAWYER!" Who doesn't want to dominate one of those. Brian, I'm thinking that this great technique would also work from a near side kimura. Yes? Thank you!

I love this and have been using it all the time since I saw it here. However, I sometimes run into the problem of not being able to catch their elbow because the move the arm to the front of their body instead of trying to keep it on the side. E.g. they will put their elbow on their belly to keep it away from me. What is a good response to that? Got any tips?

Meh. I've had people two weight divisions higher than me try to pry my elbows away from my ribs in "set piece" challenges and it's just impossible for them. The Lats can be ridiculously powerful.

At 1:05 you can try finishing the move via cobra clutch choke. Use the blades of your forearm to squeeze the carotid kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpyzfoOfhc12gs0. You can also use this submission from the mount kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGnRoo1jhaeijas.

What does it say about yourself if you spend zero percent of your day training and twenty plus percent of your day searching youtube for opportunities to emasculate people you never met that likely spend twenty plus percent of their day training.
