People seem to be coming more around on what I was seeing early on. So I'm glad people don't think I'm crazy any more, thought it does suck about all the problems people had, that convinced them of my sanity. I didn't want this stuff to be bad, I hoped it would be good, but I wasn't going to ignore anything I wasn't happy with. I wish I had done my first video a little better, and reigned in my venting, but at the same time that video exploded and I'm almost at 900 subs from 0 just three months later. So I can't be too disappointed with how it turned out.

That's not a Terrible Idea, I'd say that still might be a little steep but it's better. I cant remember how much the the Clones Packs cost so if they were 30 I'd agree to that, but I feel like they were 20 so that might be a little cheap. 25 I think would be the sweet spot.

I feel like people excuse earthrise because it has a “Generation 1 aesthetic”. I’ve seen a lot of KZbins brush over the partsforming and bad materials because earthrise is G1. People seem to think that to get the G1 aesthetic we have to sacrifice the quality of the toy. I bet that if Hasbro made a generations line that had a idw aesthetic with all the partsforming and lazy design, people would be complaining about it left and right.

That's EXACTLY my argument. People love it not because it's particularly good, but because it looks G1. And I think yeah the Geewunners would complain to hell and back, but they wouldn't be satisfied even if the figures were perfect, while the IDW fans might just ignore the partsforming, but neither group should.

The DID make a line featuring IDW designs, in fact that line came around when the name of the series was set in stone to be Generations. And it was SIGNIFICANTLY better than almost everything Earthrise has given us in terms of represensenting the designs, which is harder to do BTW because said designs were much more visually complex. And then, even funnier, they've been doing G1 designs for years even around that, and they still didn't partsform nearly as much. I the, like, 2 instances they did the bits would actually form convincing weaponry.

What part of earthrise is parts forming, and even then I don't think everyone loves it just because it's g1. I hate when people excuse things for being g1. The reason why I love it is because it looks like a spitting image of the freightliner fl 86 which is awsome. Not to mention the articulation improvements, paint, and accessories. In every way I prefer earthrise, doesn't mean I hate siege but I just prefer earth mode vehicles a bit more that cybertronian

@@Downut_ Well you have Earthrise Cliffjumper, Ratchet and Ironhide, Cliffjumper is a legends figure that partsforms and is sold at deluxe price. Also the quality on Earthrise is bad, paint suffers a lot because of it. I got the Siege Megatron and Earthrise Prime at the same time and a lot of Prime's paint is getting removed while the Siege Megs had none removed. And now we have all the breakage issues Earthrise had, and don't get me started on that.

Personally from my experience at least siege and earth rise plastic feels about the same to me. I think maybe the reason why is that earth rise has a lot more thin panels, because they have more real world earth designs. I also think why the paint maybe worse could be that earth rise just has a lot more paint than siege does, especially the the siege cars have large open canopies with zero roof paint. I mean literally siege had to put a bunch of silver dirt just so the designs wouldn’t look so plain, while the dirt is completely gone in earthrise I’m not saying it’s an excuse just giving my thoughts on it Personally I don’t have a problem with cliff jumper being a deluxe, being that I’m pretty sure the classes are more determined on the weight of the figure, like comparing the wait of cliff jumper and sideswipe they feel about the same to me. Especially when no one has a problem with larger deluxes like ironhide impactor or and hoist, so wouldn’t kind of even out if you bought cliff jumper and hoist that are the same price together, which I’m willing to bet that’s what most collectors did anyways.

Here's the thing though, on Siege the inside of the car canoes were painted silver or gold. The entire things, so there was a ton of pain on the figures that was used for very muted effects, Earthrise does not have more paint then siege, and the altmodes do not have better engineering than siege, so the thin plastic still doesn't make sense. And if they are charging us by wait, that a bad system, that's making us pay more than we should.

While yes, I'd say that that might be a factor, in say the Paint Job, maybe they have fewer skilled workers doing that, it shouldn't touch the quality of material, and even if it's all to blame on the pandemic, that would still mean that Siege is a line of Higher Physical Quality.

@@PerspectiveEnd well siege had cuality isues also, the lose conections on jetfire, there has been lot of reports of springer and optimus prime breaking, the lose parts of ironhide that just keep falling of, but I will admit than earthrise had more cuality issues and its lazier than siege, so I will say than siege is better than earthrise and the exclusives suck really hard but I had a theory about that, I think they put that many character in exclusives because they are going to put them in the studio series 1986 line, if you think about it a little bit ratchet, prowl, bluestrike, ironhide, and the coneheads are characters that appear in the 1986 movie so they are going to put them there, also congrats on the 1k subscribers man can't wait when you hit 10k you do a realy good content

@@travyscaceres5405 I've seen some of those reports from the Optimus, which surprises me, cause the plastic on that thing is so nice. Not heard about the Springer but I can see it. The Jetfire tabs aren't that big a deal, they are just slightly annoying. I don't know if the Studio Serries is going to have most of those characters, I question how much further the 86 line is going to go after this first wave considering they've already hit all the most important characters. Kibble on siege was handled better. Siege Prime had it on his arms and back, which looked intentional for the arms and was better managed on the back. Siege Prime, overally, also has a more complex transformation with way more moving parts. One thing I find particularily stupid is in design they both have the same issue, the area where the arms go is left empy in robot mode. Siege Prime solves this by having parts of the truck, which would otherwise be kibble, move up and fill in the area. It also serves as a nod to the G1 figure. Earthrise Optimus, who focuses more on hiding away alt mode parts rather than using them in order for a more G1 cartoon look, has flaps otherwise hidden in alt mode fill out the flanks, while the wheels just sit on the back. And unlike Siege Optimus it is way more of an eyesore, they get in the way even more, and there's really nothing to do to make it look good or pass it off as an in universe device with a function, such as how you could see Siege Prime's back plate as being a jetpack.

The plastic used for the Voyager Kingdom Cyclonus feels pretty damn good which surprised the hell out of me. Almost feels like a 2006 Era Classics TF and even feels more solid then other Voyagers who have come before.

Man going to the bit about ER Optimus Hasbro really made a big brain move there. See what they did was release a voyager Optimus Prime pack with extra weapons and a trailer HALF A YEAR before they packed ANOTHER Optimus with a trailer and extra weapon in the leader class price point. And what is soo damn hilarious about this is: It's a movie figure It has a more complex transformation with way more moving parts It's the same height It has almost the same amount of articulation the proportions don't look terrible The paint quality is significantly improved The trailer's transformation has more than two steps AND it has way more extra weapons than ER. I'm talking Axe, Shield, two massive guns, a sword, and a freaking Jetpack! And since this is the case pretty much any argument about ER Prime being worth full leader class price is anihilated.

@Nyx Lotus Indeed no doubt the best Shockwave we have ever gotten. And as for Grimlock he's meant to be in scale with the figures in the line, and the Dinobots being super huge is logical. We have gotten rumours of other dinobots coming so it's not like it's a huge deal that he doesn't scale with the POTP deluxes which didn't even scale with the POTP Grimlock already. And he never even had his sword in the show nor movie so again not a big deal, yank the giant meat cleaver from WFC Grimlock if you must, doesn't stop 86 Grimlock from being absolutely amazing.

I feel like Skylynx could have been better on the QC front, and he could have had a better opening mouth, but 80 bucks doesn't feel off to me. And Shockwave's armor could have stood to make him bigger, but of the Current line of Leaders, I think he's the mold that justified it the SECOND most, behind Ultra Magnus.

@@PerspectiveEnd Again Shockwave had a killer spaceship mode, but it mostly works if you don't view it as Shockwave's actual alt mode and rather it's just a Decepticon warship. The drone configuration is also neat and pretty appropriate for Shockwave to have. Asside from that Shockwave is just the basic guy and out of all of them he does do the Shockwave thing the best, but for his character he just shouldn't have been a leader because the extra parts were never even a part of him. So... for that... going off of the amount of plastic... I am pretty much forced to say that Doubledealer does it second best. He is a massively chunky lad, and it's obvious most of the plastic went into the missile which is dumb but actually turned a positive for the botropolis Odyssey set and he was pretty weighty... So eh yeah he kind of does...

Earthrise Optimus Prime is leaps and bounds better than Siege. No one can change that for me. That being said, Siege Nemesis Prime is so amazing I love how different he is from Earthrise Optimus. As far as which line is better, I have no real preference. I mix and match depending on who looks best.

It's fine which ever you like more, but saying better or worse is not what you prefer, it's a definitive statement of quality. And the Quality of the ER is a lot worse, from the paint to the materials, to the engineering which it half rips off the siege, there is less quality in the ER figure. That doesn't have to matter to you, it's fine to love the ER and Hate the Siege, but that doesn't make one better than the other.

@@PerspectiveEnd I don’t hate any of the two lines. I’m just saying I believe in MY Opinion, Earthrise Optimus is one of the Transformers main line releases we’ve gotten to date. Any of his 3 rereleases are going over $100. And QC aside, NONE of my Earthrise figs have issues in plastic. Don’t care if it Rips off paint or materials or parts of the transformation. They’re toys. All in all Siege started something so great that it kept it going with Earthrise and Kingdom, now legacy. And I will wholeheartedly admit if it wasn’t for Siege, we wouldn’t be where we’re at.

I really agree that the plastic quality went down, but for the prices? I'm really sick of hearing it...I paid 30 bucks for each of the wave 1 deluxes ( which were the only ER deluxes I could get ) when America was paying 20 bucks here in Canada the prices for WFC and SS figures are: 8 bucks for Battle Masters 15 for Core class/Micro Masters 33 for Deluxes 45 for Voyagers 70 for Leaders 120 for Commanders and I think Titans are 200 something? I don't know

Earthrise, even if COVID hadn't hit and the plastic quality was slashed, would have been the black sheep of the WFC trilogy due to how mundane it is. Siege and Kingdom would have overshadowed it due to the engineering required for both lines' aesthetic. Earthrise still tried with what it had, even if most of it ended up mediocre. Prime and Sunstreaker are great examples of this. Bad engineering is bad engineering, but the poor designers probably would have still been hated due to the G1 oversaturation. It was a lose-lose situation for both us and Hasbro.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, but you may think Siege is better but that does not mean it's true. I prefer Earthrise, that doesn't mean I'm right, its just my opinion. I don't care about parts forming, I don't care about fake parts, and I have had zero issues with my Earthrise figures, when most of my siege figures came with bad paint, or super loose joints. Also, Cliffjumper was sold for a deluxe price because the amount of parts. How often do you see legend class figures with wrist swivel, waist swivel, ankle tilt, or actual accessories? Not random parts of the vehicle mode that you take off for weapons.

I would rather have gotten no gun than paid double the price for Cliffjumper. And yes I agree that what a person likes doesn't have a bearing on over all quality. What you like is an opinion and it can not be wrong because it only applies to you. That said it does not mean that Objective Quality does not exist and only Subjective matters. Even if it doesn't bother you partsforming is objectively negative. And even if that weren't true, Earthrise would be made with Inferior plastics, and paintjobs, and changing more than ever to do it. Look at the Netflix ER Prime, you get more than ever buying that figure, but it's 10 dollars less. And they are still turning a profit on that. Earthrise is overpriced to hell and back.

It's a shame the true potential of Earthrise was so gimped by cutting costs. Siege, Studio Series and Earthrise all have figure designs that I wished were real during the Universe era, not long after Universe I shifted focus to other hobbies. Overall I'm happy with my recent purchases as they're dream come true material but QC inconsistencies do feel less consistent than before my break from transformers. I play magic the gathering which is also owned by hasbro and we've seen a similar (yet more severe) decline in the quality of the paper cards. Instead of brittle plastic and sloppy paint imagine cards that curl like pringles the day you buy them.

For me the most disappointing figures had to be the seekers, the siege seeker mold was one of my favorites from that line and I was really hoping for earthrise they’d take it a step further to create the best mainline seekers. Instead they gave us an upscaled 14 year old seeker mold with what? Foot pivot and that’s it? Not even finding a way to properly hide the nose cone or adding waist and wrist articulation? To add insult to injury they completely got rid of the landing gear gimmick. Most earthrise figures were acceptable to me but the seekers were a real slap to the face

Bought the earthrise optimus, the articulation on the chest piece had the metal pin crooked but it wasn't just that, the holes were all crooked like A LOT, to the point were the figure was not able to transform at all, bought another one and similar problem, so i decided to just go with the siege one. QC was a huge problem with this line and hasbro forgets that people in other countries around the world has to pay way more for their products, where i live these figures cost 2 to 3 times their US selling value, so imagine paying a hundred dollars for a broken optimus and not having a return option or hasbro's costumer support, biggest middle finger i got in my life. Thankfully siege has never let me down

I will give you that the vast majority of Seige is better than Earthrise. But, the baseformers are just so much fun. I am getting so much enjoyment at rearranging my little cybertronian city. Now I am looking at Skylynx and Scorponic and totally thinking about getting them for their base modes alone. I didnt think I would love the bases as much as I do. Now though I also have to mention a figure in Earthrise that is awsome and totally beats Seige. Doubledealer is the only Leaderclass so far that actually feels like a leader class. The next best is astrotrain, because of the basemode. Doubledealer doesn't need a basemode or weapons pack to be a badass leader class. One Transformer no parts forming except for that little ramp, and he just feels like a sturdy little toy. He also has leg ratchets that work. Unlike my Seige Leaders who all want to do the splits for some reason. Did I miss the episode where they all trained to be ballerinas? lol Nice video dude, keep up the good work mate! rokwind

I think lots of people agree with you know is because when you first released your videos, people were still in love with this line as they still couldn't believe the fact that they were getting mini masterpieces for $20 - $30. So when you dared oppose g1, they started hating you for it. Also, you said the reason you didn't like earthrise was that it wasn't siege. I think that may have left a bad impression. You're saying earthrise is bad because it is not a line that you like. People hated that, so they hated your video. As time passed, they started noticing the flaws. They started to get past the fact that it was g1. They saw how many exclusives there were, and how scalpers bought all of them for retail price and then started charging ridiculous prices for already overpriced toys(sorta). I think you're pretty on the nose, but I didn't think the Not Siege bit was getting to them cause I did say that it was just the first thing that didn't ingratiate the line to me, though the way I phrased it may have given it a much stronger impression than I meant. It disappointed me a little that we were going back to Earth Modes, but not that much. I think the greatest flaw of the video was that I was venting too much, the script for that was titled "Rant" for a reason. And while the price isnt great I also think transformers now a days aside from mabey deluxe are over priced as hell.

The price is a big factor I think, but also I just like the Transformation a lot more on the Siege.
