I found it almost impossible to get anyone to look at the fridge below £175.00 and then there were a load of caveats about what they would repair. I fixed it for £50.00 approximately as well as an old freezer that had not run for ten years. This fridge freezer unit seems to be controlled by a pick processor rather than older mechanical type timers for the defrost etc. The pick processor is essentially a small computer and will receive inputs such as temperature information from the sensors and send out control instructions as to when to turn on the heater or fans. There are two fans one on either side which need to function correctly. Many you tube videos state that neither the pick processor board or the compressor commomly fail. This unit would cool but not as efficiently as it should.

Dear Hawker CNC, Thank you for sharing your experience with repairing your freezer. Very interesting. I was wondering if I could ask you a question? I have the same fridge at home and I just got the freezer fan motor (the same as the one you referred to in the video) replaced by a Siemens technician. However the fan has stopped working again - even when the "super cooling" function is turned on. Any idea what the problem could be? Many thanks in advance. Kind regards, Magnus

I hoovered out the back and the floor condensing fan is not working. How do i get that out?

Probably the cooling fan and 'radiator' is covered in dust / fluff. Need to get rear access panel off and hoover / clean out.

I have the same drug as well, same problem with heat in middle divider. I have cleaned the back and fan area. Could not get all but it was covered in animal hair and dust. Its been back running for about an hour and the same area is hot to the touch. Did you ever resolve your issue?
