The reason high fashion is typically gaudy is to prevent common and fast fashion from replicating them. The average person won’t buy such prints or styles because there’s no reason for us to wear them, so there’s no incentive for brands and stores like Forever 21 and H&M to replicate the patterns and style. Basically they’re ugly because only rich people can get away with buying ugly clothes. It has nothing to do with what’s “fashionable” and entirely to do with “rich people buy this because they can”

FUNNY STORY! We moved across the country 7 yrs ago and my husband drove out 6mo in advance. So at the 3mo mark I flew out with the dog to leave him with hubby before we made the big move. I went to Walmart and bought whatever dog carrier they had that was cheap and would meet airline requirements. I ended up paying $20 for this Louis Vuitton knockoff. I didn’t care or even really know if LV made a dog carrier. It was just CHEAP haha. At the airport this 20-something got all bent out of shape that I was flying with my dog and made snide remarks about the dog being super spoiled etc. I ignored her, wondering why she even cared. Turns out that LV dog carrier, the real one, was $700 USED on eBay. So I have no idea how much the new version would’ve cost. I’ve never bought a designer item in my life, nor do I care to at all, but it sure got some chic’s panties in a knot!!! Lol

But it’s funny, their name is the reason they can’t buy retail. Hermes won’t sell to them because they aren’t the kind of people Hermes wants promoting their brand and culture! And yess Jeffree gets them custom made because he spends so much, as well he just has an amazing relationship with the company, as with pretty much every other luxury label out there!

Even new... but never to the caliber of Jstar. There is a waitlist for many launches and even then, theses are investment pieces. I had thought the Kardashians just didn't buy new birkins due to choice...not that they couldn't get one. Gonna study Kris Jenner's closet again. I wonder if this was ever mentioned on their show. Hey Sierra, I think a really cool video would be if u tried to sew an outfit. I’m a sewer and I’ve been using quarantine to do it more often. Ryland Adams did a video like this and it was rly cool. There are a lot of patterns and fabric on Etsy so you don’t have to leave the house
