Not only is the one of the smallest 9X19s on the planet, it shoots incredibly straight for how small it is and how short the barrel is. When my wife wanted a 9mm carry (she was using a .22 before) we went and shot about a dozen of the best small micro 9s. We settled on the P938 for two reasons. 1) How well it shot tight groupings and 2) zero issues/jams. It just works. Small enough to put in plenty of places, she carries in her purse and it takes up very little space. Just a great gun all around.

I love mine! I've been carrying it for 7 years and put hundreds of rounds through it. Very reliable, accurate and easy to carry. I've found no reason to change and don't intend to. Thanks for showing some love for a great little EDC pistol!

I own that exact same pistol and you’re right it’s an excellent shooter with a great trigger. My only concern is I don’t like the ambidextrous safety which has a tendency to catch on the other side of my hand when it’s engaged. It works but can be cumbersome. It conceals well and is a decent shooter at close range. Really quality built and one of my favorite Sig’s. I also own the P238 SAS model in 380 and I like it better although it’s smaller because it doesn’t have the ambidextrous safety. These two pistols are the ones I most frequently carry because the are small convenient and in a 1911 configuration. I own numerous others including P226 Legion, Sig M11a1/P229, P2022, Smith & Wesson M&P .40, P320 compact in 9mm/.40 & 357 Sig, CZ 75 Compact, etc and more than several 1911’s but at the end of the day instead of a gun in my pants I’ve got one in my pocket. ….with a holster 😅 of course.

I love the hell outta mine. You have to watch the guide rod, being two pieces, but when mine worked itself loose at a range trip it still continued to shoot without fail. A little loctite sorts it out.

Here's how I see it as CCW gun: What I like - the 17 oz weight, the 1.1 inch thickness (or the lack thereof). Also the 5.9 inch length. Build quality. Price is fine for what you get. What I don't like - single action only with a ~5.5 lb trigger. I want about double that for the first pull (which is why I carry DA/SA). I know I'm the only person on the planet that isn't John Wickish, and the rest of you are all world-class experts with unflappable, rock-solid nerves of steel, but I really want to be sure that I do want that first round to leave the barrel. I have single action pistols with triggers lighter than this one - but I don't CCW them. They're range guns.

I love mine. Black with the Hogue grips and use a Tulster profile holster for it. I shoot it better than my H&K P30SK, which is bigger and heavier. Very manageable on recoil with these grips. The night sights are very good in the dark, but I may change to a brighter front sight. A spare 7 round mag in a slinky sleeve works good too. Anyone in doubt, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I’ve got the Nightmare version and it shoot very good to be so small and light. The overall look of the gun is nice. Some minor issues is the ambi safety on the right side is a little loose and rattles if you shake the gun. Also the barrel is not quite centered in the slide if you look at it from the business end. One more thing on mine is the magazine is hard to seat. Other than those minor details it’s a fine gun. I’m not getting rid of it as I carry it mostly when I wear gym shorts or no belt.

Sadly, the smallest and lightest DA/SA SIG makes is probably the M11-A1/P228. Great pistol, but still hefty for AIWB so I went with the P30SK.

I love mine. But I hate that when I drop a full mag, one cartridge falls out almost every time. Makes clearing the weapon for someone difficult and awkward.

If Sig would just revise this weapon and increase the rounds in the mag to 10+1 this gun would probably be the best on themarket

I just got a p938 legion a couple months ago. Does anyone have trouble with the magazines? If i barely tap the bottom of the mag the top round slides forward. This sometimes causes feeding issues considering you almost have to tap the bottom to load it in. Any advice?

Guide rod is 2 piece construction , mine separated at range and made gun inoperable , Sig is aware of problem , I’m looking into 1 piece guide rod to eliminate future problems

How did you get the trigger pull so light? Mine is 5.5-6. 3-3.5 would be ideal. Were you able to adjust it?

@@steven3379 I do like it, but just being wanting this Sig, it was just under twice the cost of my CSX. I have gotten used to the CSX trigger. But, when I do travel out of town, carry my Springfield Ronin EMP. I can have as a back up, this P938.

Yes, I'd like a bit more capacity but not a "deal killer" for me. I'm thinking of removing the extended mag well and trying the mags with the full baseplate, has anyone tried that?

I'm pretty sure they won't seat because of the extended mag well. They were designed for the standard p938. I'd stick with the 7 rounders.

@steven3379 Yeah I think it's the same length. I got it confused with the 229 legion. That one's magwell is just part of its grips being extended. So, removing the magwell might work on the 938.

How are you getting trigger pull just over 2 lbs., when every other tester has recorded 5.5 lbs. to almost 7 lbs.?

Fantastic question. I’ve just researched online and all indications are it should be heavier. I have not modified in anyway. It’s always been a super light trigger . I’ll see if there is something up with my gauge Appreciate you watching!

What an awesome gun! Looks like Sig used to make these little guys in all kinds of flavors, but now you can only find a couple - new, at least. It’s a shame so much emphasis has been placed on double-stack micro strikers - though I can sure see why. As far as hammers, S&W has the CSX but other than that that there isn’t really too much product development in sub-compact or micros that are (external) hammer-fired (not much in compact, either). As someone mentioned I’d love to see Sig get 10 rounds into this. H&K somehow found a way to go from 10 to 12 rounds in its P30SK a year or so ago, without extending the mag. I’ll bet Sig could, it just seems almost all of their development dollars in handguns is going to their strikers…

I’m not sure. The general consensus is that a first gun should be a full size semi-auto 9mm. I would say the lowest you should go for barrel length is maybe 3.6” since accuracy starts to really diminish at that point..generally. Having said all of that, the P938 is an awesome gun. I have the Legion version and the recoil is surprisingly light and the trigger reminds me of a Canik trigger. I would recommend the TP9 Elite SC for a first gun if you want something smaller. It’s incredibly reliable, accurate, it’s easy to maintain and fun to shoot.

It kind of depends. Best thing to do is go to local gun store and put as many in your hands as possible to see what feels good. Then have to consider the purpose - home defense - conceal carry - etc. I agree with Brett that a larger gun is probably a great place to start. Thank you so much for watching!

Love the gun but I call BULLSHIT. 2.3 Lb Trigger? The factory setting is 7.5 to 8.5 Lb. You didn’t lock the pistol down while you pulled the trigger with the scale…
