Beautiful bungalow and pity the megalithic site had been side-lined. Interesting about then black/dark v white/light conflict of ancient SL What happened to the population that existed from before in the Sigiriya area when the black mountain-only swadesi came ?? This belongs to the mountain people and not the people of the Sigiriya planes!!! similar to what Hitler picked up on. The black v white issue any different to the agricultural v older lifestyle jargon !!?? Göbekli Tepe, the world's oldest megalithic site was built by hunter-gatherers, so was cross-continental and early over-seas migration. However when a 48 000 yr hunting implement is found, these same people are excited to claim that over and above the indigenous population after grabbing their land throughout history !! Iron ore deposits were found in the hills, so big plus point for the hill iron-mongers. Then again the status of these communities, namely the oldest Vedhi mahathuru, iron smiths, blacks, stone masons, etc. their current language and religions indicate that they were somewhat subjugated, isn't it ?! Probably these communities were utilized by the 'light new arivals'?! Perhaps they readily absorbed these foreign developments, perhaps the various communities within the island utilized and sponsored this for gain as was the case elsewhere in the world.
