Great video on advanced triggering. You could use another channel on the scope to capture the phase sensor input?

Well yes and no, there can be a lot of back EMF produced by motors, it's something I'd like to do but I think some resistive circuits should be added to do that safely without risk to the scope. Maybe one for a future video 😊

I think you may have misunderstood what the 'scope was telling you. When you said you were setting it up for a two second capture, the reason it took so long was that the capture was a lot longer than that. The two seconds is two seconds *per division*, not two seconds for the whole width.
