What do you think about this lens? f/1.2 gives you a lot of options with your depth of field and I loved how sharp everything was with this lens. Let me know your thoughts in the comments :-)

I got mine in March this year. So looking forward to wowing some clients with the work I had booked! And then... But it's not been off the A7R3 (until I got the 85 f/1.4 DG DN last week). No single piece of glass has stayed on a body for so long, I find myself rethinking my approach to exploit the personality of this lens, bloody lovely glass! So much character, and character is so important, like a painter finding the perfect brush, sees the world the way I see it. I find myself doing portraits with it, getting close to my subject, getting in their space and that comes across in the shots; it's intimate, it's how you look at someone across a table, lying next to them, holding their hand! What more can a photographer want?

Im looking for a 35mm for my sony a7iii and im confused because I've got the option for Sigma 1.2. Sony 16-35 mm. Sony. 1.4 distagon Which is the sharpest lens please can u help me
@M4TR1X4 жыл бұрын
For the sharpest, I suggest the Sigma 40 1.4... it's a knife. But I prefer more dreamy look as the Zeiss 35 1.4 or the Sigma 35 1.2

Is this lens good for videography? Is it overly sharp?
@k0smos7075 жыл бұрын
I shot a large group of over 60+ people and it was sharp from corner to corner! The lens is amazingly sharp even at f1.2. If you want the bokeh-licious background and don't really mind the weight, you can't go wrong with the Sigma 35mm f1.2. If you do a lot of run/gun shootings, the weight might be a challenge to you.

35 sigma art 1.2 or 40 sigma art 1.4 ? What is the best?
@orhansnake98245 жыл бұрын
Great Video 👍👏 i bought the 1.4 Version 1 Year ago ... Should i Switch ? 🤦🤔
@parkcameras5 жыл бұрын
I actually really like the 1.4 version as well. The new 1.2 lens is super nice but it's quite a bit more expensive than the 1.4 so if you're happy, probably worth sticking with the 1.4 :-)

What is better? Shallow depth of field of sharpeness is all not important if you can tell a story with the image and the gear you have. Often I believe all the manufacturers explore of what is possible but not what is practical. How often are the pictures not in focus?
@parkcameras5 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree that composition and telling a story are much more important than how sharp it can be, thanks for watching :-)

The blades do nothing when you shoot wide open and have nothing to do with the smooth bokeh, mate.
