The ONLY exception I could imagine is if those kind of boundaries are already established (this is still consent btw don't assume you have those kind of boundaries if it's not been established yet). However, we will always ask before hugging, because sometimes we don't want to be touched like that. "Who's the audience for this?" Any man who didn't learn this stuff from his father, uncle or friends. If social/romantic incompetence wasn't so widespread among both men and women, these "coaches" would've nothing to prey on. There's also the social aspect of feeling like you're different and part of a group, which is why having a label is one of the quickest ways to have an audience. As someone who used to drink the alpha kool aid, getting yourself or others out of the loop is difficult because of confirmation bias and your peers reaffirming the beliefs peddled by the coaches. And it's sad because a lot of the people who fall into this rabbit hole just want to improve their lives, some just want to get laid, others want a girlfriend, a lot come from a breakup/divorce and while there are malicious actors, most just want a meaningful relationship. I grew up without a father or father figure. I was obese and bullied in school and to learn some much needed life skills I got fit and joined the military which had an even worse culture where I was also bullied. My Mum raised me to be myself and so that's what ive done my entire life, through school, through the military and even now with business. I never had the desire to make myself appear better than I was, I only want to improve and learn so that I may help others do the same. Sadly not many people appreciate a mentality like this but those few who do is all I really care about. Ive known many people from many backgrounds with many skills and attributes that can be quite amazing but there's only one real deal 100% authentic me and nobody will ever be able to match that. I have big dreams, a big heart, im goofey and romantic. I am the opposite of the dating culture but it seems to work for me. Just be yourself and if nobody likes that then surround yourself with people who are receptive to your natural character. Don't chase shallow desires like everybody else and expect to stand out. 🖖 Peace ✌

By saying be yourself, it means that the person who isn't socially successful is not being himself. And you can't assume that unless you know the dude personally and watched him interact. And also it's a contradiction if you say to "be confident" or "be" anything other than yourself because it wouldn't be "being yourself", since you consciously behave differently. It sounds nice, wholesome and positive and I get where you're coming from, but someone who never struggled with relationships can only advise people who also never struggled with relationships. Unless you know what we go through, you're advise won't help.

I never once said fitting in socially is a positive or negative because if you judge your own sense of self worth on the opinions of others then you let their perception control who you can be. My whole point is stop trying to be something to nobodies, stop caring about those who don't care for you. Respect and care for yourself and those who actually appreciate you. If you don't like my advise then perhaps it's not for you but perhaps its you who should listen to it the most.
