As someone who tried this mindset in school ("maybe if I'm random I won't be bullied and I might find a gf"), I'm now having to rebuild my notion of personality and undo a lot of rather silly (if not outright creepy AF) habits. The entitlement, the thirst for validation and how openly I showed my loneliness all crippled me socially (especially when trying to make friends). It messed up my self esteem and left me feeling like I was farmed for the other person's clout. I started going to therapy, taking my meds and studying stoicism. It's been a few years, but I'm happier now that I'm undoing some of the more... Egregious habits and reflexes.
