Become a Catholic. Buy yourself a Green Scapular and. Brown Scapular. Get them blessed by a priest if you can. Pray the Rosary daily. Develop a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Keep watching Fr. Spyridon and other excellent priests. The Lord will lead you to them.. You are not alone. So many prayers of the Church, written by those now saints, speak of years of wasted life.. Who in the Church doesn't feel that weight? If they are in any way serious?.. But those same prayers lead us to Hope, because of the one to Whom those prayers are directed. We pray those prayers to the One who loves us beyond our understanding..Anyway, the greater your sins, the greater can be your repentance and the blessings that can come to you.. Today, about 5 hours ago I almost drowned in the black sea. The only thing that it came to my mind was "God". I panicked a little bit, but I prayed in my head. I just "said" "God help me!". About 10 seconds later, 4 people came and dragged me out of the sea. Now I'm extremely thankful and humbled. I take this as a sign of God. God Bless everyone!

@@rubba6818 They saw me that I was drowning. The waves we too big and were holding me underwater, but I managed somehow to wave with hands, while my head was under water. God helped me through these people, he made them notice me. Do you know how many people get drowned in public pools for example? And the place is crowded, but no one seems to notice the person who is drowning? I'm very thankful to these people, and God may bless them! God saved me through them. And if they weren't there, I'll be a dead man by now.

I have found help with having a prayer on repeat throughout the day. I mean iny mind. I try not to let my thoughts stay idle for to long. We have the great tradition of the Jesus prayer. I also will keep praying the Our Father. It can be difficult but the more I'm consistent the less I struggle or can overcome more readily. Playing the bible on my phone or computer, chants, Akathist all these types of things. God bless

I'm not understanding all this argument over "the true church"... the apostles were made fishers of men. Are there not thousands of different fish in the sea? If you keep Christ's commands with a repentant and humble heart, confess his Lordship doing the Father's will.... then you ARE part of "the true church". Which is eternal, not earthly. John 3:16 doesn't declare Eastern Orthodoxy, Catholic, Apostolic, Pentecost... or any other group "the true church"... become like a little child, beautifully accepting God and his ways, and the grace of the blood of Christ will cover your sin and stain.

Rather than declaring your mercy on Jesus, you should accept the mercy that Jesus is giving to you. Jesus rejected man's mercy so that He could take the penalty for your sins on Himself.
