I have a friend from Japan who has the same problem; there are less than a dozen Orthodox Churches in her whole country. Even here in Canada there were very few until recent years. Perhaps if you contact the closest monastery and explain your situation they can do something to get a Church built in your area in the future. It really is worth the extra effort, the payoff is eternal.

I think it is here already. I have noticed priests are not what they used to be nor are the churches. People are changing in my days my parents never locked up their houses if they went visiting or shopping. Now regardless of what we do we get broken into. Exactly. The devil himself will impersonate Christ. But he is not allowed to impersonate the nature of Christ's coming, which is in the clouds. We go up to meet Christ.

The key is in 2 Peter 3:10-13, when Christ show's up, it's game over. On the day of the Lord's return, the elements of the universe will dissolve, the earth and everything in it will be utterly consumed by fire. This is the day of the general resurrection of all mankind. This is the traditional, Orthodox view, which also held by every other denomination in existence until the 17th century. This totally eliminates any confusion as to whether Christ has actually appeared. In the words of Anglican Author CS Lewis, "When the Author of the play shows up on the stage, the play is over".

@@George-ur8ow There seems to be two different descriptions of the Lords coming. Or the Day of the Lord. And our authority rest on several scriptures. "Two shall be in the field, one shall be taken one left, two grinding, and two in bed. etc. Matthew 24:40 Also in Revelations is saying that 1/3 of the people remain alive after the Great Tribulation, Battle of Armageddon, and after Jesus' second coming and touching down on the Mt. of Olives! The Angel then proclaims, "The Kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our Lord and our God! So, the fiery end as I've always heard it taught for decades is at the end of the Millenium. When Satan is loosed for a short period from the "Bottomless Pit". Then He and all those who join him to fight the Lord's rule, which was established a thousand years before, are burnt up with fire that proceeds out of heaven. That is when the Earth is burnt up and God creates a New Heaven and a New Earth. Spoken of in Revelations. So, the "Day of the Lord" Could be the whole thousand years! As it says, "A Day with the Lord is as a thousand years!"
