Aussie here! The 'Fatigue Zone' sign at 8:01 sounds bizarre but it makes more sense with context: Our country is so massive but sparsely populated that in rural areas, you can be driving for hours along a boring straight, featureless road that can really easily make you drowsy. So, along one of the highways here, they put in signs every so often asking a trivia question about the region you're driving through, and put the answer to the question on another sign a few kilometres up the road, after which the sign at 8:01 is shown. The idea is that the trivia questions get you thinking and help prevent you from falling asleep at the wheel. I'm pretty sure they change the questions every few months too for those drivers that do the road often!

Also, snakes bite as self defense. If I was that small and a giant hand picked me up, I'd bite it. The best way to pick up a snake is very quickly and confidently so they know that you could hurt them, but since you haven't, you probably aren't a threat

The year before Thunder Levy wrote the original (their were 6 btw) Sharknado, he wrote an overly sincere love letter to old military tech & low budget scifi in the form of a 'mockbuster' named American Warship (in order to catch the attention of people wanting to see the movie Battleship). It's about aliens with a stealth sub & dedicated EMP tech that can offline anything with integrated circuits. But it just so happens the diesel warship is being taken on its final cruise (with a full crew) down to become a museum. Complete with a historian/expert in restoring old tech & a bunch of old parts and ammo the ship hasn't used in decades (for the museum, naturally). It's frankly kind of the anti-Sharknado, in that it takes such time and care to justify everything happening as rationally as a scifi B-movie could ever hope to. In all honesty, it's actually a pretty good movie. It's even based off a real govt' policy to prevent the military from being hamstrung from such an EMP attack: their legally required to keep old ships like that in easily restore-able condition for such an emergency (they even made more of their discontinued calibers of ammo).
