Yep. I think the best advice for a squat and most lifts really, is just to try to keep it clean, make sure you feel comfortable, and lift smart not egotistical. All of this "back straight, hips here, knees here etc etc" just doesn't work and only passes down form between different body structures which will just increase risk for injury. Sure, teach some fundamentals, but don't lecture.

I’m sure a lifter of his caliber and experience isn’t just squatting that way because of weak quads dude. If a few extra sets of leg extensions a week would clear his issues, then we wouldn’t need professional coaches for our Olympic WL athletes
@MrSpicabooo Жыл бұрын
Gurph and daire both said for him to keep more toes forward. Cause he has em out like 45degs and goodmornings out of the hole. I think clarence is just squatting the way he always has and what feels natural to him, which granted has gotten him crazy numbers, but if it comes with pain maybe he should try to tweak. I started squtting like gurph with toed forward as possible before i even heard of sikastan after watching kelly starett and although it felt weird af initially after my mobility got where it needs to be my squat was wayyyy better after. Caveat is im built like monkey with short legs and long torso and arms so maybe im just suited for that.

I don't think there's an obvious or sudden technique change indicating an imminent injury.
