Why was Sikkim being ignored by previous Govts? Since 1975 Sikkim is part of India & it gets 1st Railways only this year ? It got its first Airport also just 3-4 years back .

Mobility in the difficult terrain in Sikkim State make life strenuous and arduous. Changing geo-political situation near LAC makes the government to engage in constructing connectivity infrastructure in order to make mobility easier both for civilian and defence service people,thanks to China. There is no reason to credit politicians.
