There is only 1 silent pump for these things. They are (or were) made by an English gent named James Browning-Smith. They are $$$, but are literally dead silent and have an anti-siphon protection option. I just don't think any of these dosing pumps from China are ever going to be truly silent. In any case, thanks for the video. I didn't realize Ray Winstone was on YT. ;) Great to keep up on the state of things with these heaters. Sure can't beat the price of them, that's for sure.

Hi Sam. I bought the WiFi controller off eBay for my heater. It actually turns the heater on and off at the temps you set. Game changer. No more waking up cold or sweating my t**s off. Plus you can use your phone to turn it on and off remotely. Well worth the £100 I paid. Great video as always bud keep em coming. 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video Sam. To silence ours i put the original in a plastic box with i covered in Dodo matting, which works fairly well, but you can still hear it slightly when in bed, this might be an option for us to remove the little bit of a clicking we do have, great find.

Do they? I'm 3 years in with mine, and my only complaint I've had is the pump! Swapped it out, and the issue has been resolved So I stand by what I said cheap and cheerful so far it's cost me less than £35 over the 3 years, Autotherm was an option when I was building the van. If I had installed that, it would have cost over £600 so £200 a year so far £35 against £200 wins every time Hope you're enjoying the channel thanks for the comment is always good to hear different opinions 👍

Yep just change mine to the same pump, definitely an improvement, didn’t prime mine though and still fired up on the first burn up, cheers for the video though

I've got my pump in a plastic container with foam in it can't hear the ticking. The air flow coming out the vent is more of a pain.

Don’t bolt the pump to anything but have it hanging on a strap instead of a bracket to stop resonance going through the van body

We have an Eberspacher diesel heater mounted under the floor of our T5 and the blurb describes the pump as near silent, I can honestly say I’ve never heard the pump either inside or outside of the van, maybe try an Eberspacher pump.

The anticipation was palpable. They should not be called silent, just quieter, or a really quiet pump. I’ve yet to buy mine and fit it, will probably get it done nice for the summer. Will check out your web page and the FB page 👍👍👍😎

That's good to know, I have installed another RCD in the consumer unit giving a total of 4 - Mains input, and 3 sockets, working, I shall look at wiring the shower, toilet. water pump tomorrow.

Hi there, you wanted ideas for video content? I removed the plastic steps from the cab and found the common problem of worn out door seals, so loads of water under the plastic step causing rust. I bought two near cab door seals from Mercedes for £50 each. I have the various tools and paints to tackle the job. Would be interesting to take out the 3 screws holding you step in place and see if you have trapped water and hiding rust?

Don’t bother priming it as it risks flooding the burn chamber. Just run it and if you get an E08 error cycle the power and turn it on again.

Me pump and filter inside camper, boxed in. Away from the elements, that was the reason why my pump is in the van. Clicking doesn't bother me dude.
