I remember Akira saying in an interview that he recorded so much music for the remake, that Konami was trying to figure out how to release it all. So more than likely, there are tracks in the game not listed on the Official Soundtrack. But I bet they will release an extended version after the game comes out that will include said tracks.

Idk something about these tracks sound less surreal and ambient, they sound more put together like actual songs which makes what I’m trying to say make less sense. They sound great don’t get me wrong but that messy, raw, out of place sound that the original had just fits so well with the themes of silent hill 2. Otherwise great soundtrack overall

Also I never thought the soundtrack would be expanded so much ! That’s amazing ! I just thought it would be re recordings or new takes on the old soundtrack but I guess if the game is much longer now there needs to be more songs and ambient music, some of these new tracks are beautiful
