SILENT HILL Townfall Official Teaser Trailer

From Annapurna Interactive, the creators of Stories Untold and Observation, and No Code, comes Silent Hill: Townfall - a spinoff of the Silent Hill franchise. Not much is known about Silent Hill: Townfall as of yet, but it's meant to be an expanded concept on Silent Hill, and No Code's prior games were inspired by the psychological horror of Silent Hill. No release date has been revealed as of yet.

Its actually one remake two new games.. Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill f a new 1960 set horror game story by Ryukishi07 (Higurashi When they Cry) and Silent Hill Town brand new game from makers of Observation. Silent Hill: Ascension is an "interactive video streaming experience" which seems to be a game and movie hybrid that will let fans decide what’s happening. Return to Silent Hill is a sequal to the 2006 movie based on Silent Hill 2 game.

I love the fact that Silent hill trailer can gives you eerie feeling without having any jumpscare. Silent hill games doesnt really try to scare you in the way other horror games does, but it always gives you a feeling of uncertainty.

I generally agree, though I do remember jumping when the doll monster from SH2 showed up for the first time. I looked at it for a while with the flashlight and it was perfectly still. Then it suddenly moved O.O

@@ruicosta1037 In SH1 there's a locker room which has noises in it , naturally I thought there's monster lurking but appearently it just a cat jumping out from one of the locker. :D My fav scare is SH3 mirror room where your reflection suddenly freeze-up while the bloodlines started to covers the entire room.

And that feeling of uncertainty is much worse than knowing what awaits you. When I played the Silent Hill games for the first time, I couldn't stop my hands from trembling. Watching people on KZbin play the games is one thing, but playing them yourself is a new ball game.

Unfortunately this one is being made by the same people that made text based games, they weren’t bad but definitely didn’t hit the mark. This seems like a cheap cash grab by just stamping the Silent Hill name on a radio game that you just sit and listen to. The other two silent hill game reveals seemed promising though

Correction to the video description: No Code are the creators of both Observation and Stories Untold, not Annapurna. No Code are collaborating with Annapurna and Konami for this Silent Hill project. Annapurna worked on amazing games too like Stray and What Remains of Edith Finch. I think this will be a really good psychological horror game, not necessarily a _Silent Hill_ game, but a good horror game nonetheless. I have faith that both studios will manage to pull it off really well.

They don't seem to be in competition with one another because they are inherently wildly different games. There is a remake that serves as a more classical entry point for new people and some nostalgia for old fans ; Townfall is probably going to focus heavily on narrative with some kind of "experimental" gameplay (given the devs' previous games) ; a brand new survival horror game that will test the waters for the true revival of the franchise (certainly taking it in a new directions by following what capcom did with with RE 7) and finally we have whatever that mobile interactive experience with 5 different devs is supposed to be.

I dont think they can ever capture what P.T. was. It wasn't a major urban legend or some town conspiracy with outside reporters investigating. It was just one house. One creepy haunted house and you're alone and no backup side characters are coming to move the plot like most modern horror games.

Because they may not be possible anyway. A lot of team Silent members have moved on and some perhaps even died/retired years ago. They managed to get Ito and Yamaoka back, but others like series creator, Toyama does his own thing now.

Woah! Silent Hill Townfall, F, And a SH2 remake! Can Konami be coming back from the dead and on its feet to make games again? Well... at least with SH Other IPs Like Metal Gear and Castlevania are still in question but this seems great and chilling so far. Honestly, I've never played a SH game in my life but now I've been willing to play some due to these announcements. Everybody that I've talked to says they highly recommend SH2 to start with and with the SH2 Remake coming soon, I guess I'll give that one a try first. I hope Konami re-releases and remasters other Silent hill games like SH3, SH SM, SH 1 etc,
