SILENT HILL f Official 4K Teaser Trailer

After many long years, the classic psychological horror franchise Silent Hill is finally back with Silent Hill f. Silent Hill f is the first original Silent Hill sequel in years. In the trailer we see odd blood vines, and a Japanese Torii gate. The blood blossoms around a girl to reveal what looks like a creepy inner disease. Silent Hill f is written by Ryukishi07, creature & character design from kera, and produced by Motoi Okamoto. Silent Hill f has yet to receive a release date.

@@spritsfal5088 I think the Siren series would be a great place to see a Japanese-Western game work. Siren started Japanese and switched to Western on the third installment. It kept most of the original elements but reworked the cast and monsters into an American lens. It's also made by people from the original Silent team! I think a Japanese SH could actually do very well the same thing. Not to mention the original SH was made by Japanese people in a Western setting. I personally think they could still retain the western SH feel even if they did add in Japanese elements.

This strongly resembles Siren game series, creator of which split from Team Silent after completing original Silent Hill. If anyone remembers SH1 used siren alarm to mark the shift to underworld. That idea moved completely to Siren series. Also, 1st and 3rd Siren games took place in Japanese village, main characters of the first were students on a school project. What they witnessed were people around them turning into insects and swarms which is pretty close tie to flowers.

silent hill in a japanese setting? dude, thats their home play. they already brought some of the scary japanese superstitions and lores into the first games (toilets in sh1 and sh2 for example). imagine now that gets cranked up to 11. also, loving the unique setting and theme. those flowers are as beautiful as they are deadly. and then the sh1 theme at the end played with tradional japanese instruments. just bravo konami, youre finally on a good track. next step is to finally get silent hills done

Yeah, it looks and sounds interesting but why call this Silent Hill when it's obviously not taking place in Silent Hill or near it? The town itself is a character and crucial for a SH game. Maybe there is a way to teleport you to SH similar to "The Room" but other than that this doesn't make sense. Rather give it a new name and create a new IP when it has nothing to do with the town. But of course the name brings more money even when it makes no sense. Don't get me wrong I like the setting and the visuals of this trailer but this has nothing in common with Silent Hill. Really nothing! Just like Metal Gear Survive has nothing in common with Metal Gear Solid. It only shows that the people in charge at Konami don't have any clue about their franchises. They just want to make as much money as possible. The pachinko machines and mobile games are the best example for that. 4 new games at once sounds to me like Konami didn't learn from their mistakes they did after the original 3 games. Pushing the franchise in directions that don't make sense and potentially lower the quality. Let's see if besides the remake any of the others will be something decent. I'm particularly really skeptical about the online game.

It’s been awhile since I played the games but I played through most of them and I’m pretty sure it’s mainly the people in silent hill who made it turn so evil. Especially the order trying to incarnate their “god”. Which means there could easily be other places like silent hill. In a way this could be an origin story to silent hill. I really don’t see it taking place in Japan as a big deal or even as a money grab. Coming from someone who has strongly disliked Konami since they effed over kojima.

I like the idea of a Silent Hill story taking place in another country. I'd have to image the Otherworld is everywhere (and nowhere) and not just in Silent Hill. A while back, I had an idea about a guy traveling to his family's ancestral homestead in Wales only to discover the town, Bryn Tawel, was just like Silent Hill.

This concept was already well established since Silent Hill 3 though? As the Otherworld is present even though (half of) the game does not take place in Silent Hill, or Silent Hill 4, which doesn't take place in Silent Hill at all. Turns out that the real Silent Hill, are the friends we made along the way.

@@lauson1ex i always feel it was Alessa and Walter's powers that turns the setting into the Otherworld. Regardless, the games had very strong ties and even played in Silent Hill in certain parts of the game. The town itself is the biggest character for the plot. In this new one, it looks to have nothing to do with the town and it would make no sense to either. Therefore it's not Silent Hill. Forbidden Siren is technically Silent Hill in terms of its atmosphere, multi dimension, and plot(religious cults reviving their god). Yet it isn't Silent Hill. It stood on its own. This new one feels like a money grab. Instead of being its own, it slaps the SH label on. If they wanted to go back into history, why not do what was already a part of Silent Hill history? Why not make one based on the Native Americans that inhabited the land before it was Silent Hill and explain its origins? Instead we get a Fatal Frame Siren with SH label.

Alessa can't possibly have been the only supernatural child in the world. If anything, this is the freshest idea they ever had for Silent Hill and I'm glad they're rising the stakes and expanding its universe. Japan and Central America are the places that make the most sense.

This commercial has me excited. The execution reminds me of Junji Ito's Uzumaki. There's an ordinary setting with an ominous atmosphere occupied by a menacing and sinister force. It also reminds me of an episode of Yamishibai, now that I think of it.

The music featured in this REALLY reminds me of the music used by another VN producer called Innocent Grey famous for their Kara No Shoujo series of VN and specifically the composer MANYO who works with them. Does anybody know if MANYO is involved in this? Normally I'd say it's absurd but if they're bringing Ryukishi07 onboard it's possible and MANYO does the classiest OST's in the VN industry.

Wow, Ryukishi wrote this. He is an tremendous writter of the psychological horror genre. And that Torii gate usually symbolize transition from our world to the sacred world which would make sense in Silent Hill. Maybe we will find out in this game how the cult was born and how it got to Silent Hill. I can't wait!!!
