Hi Belinda, how to proof the product is free silicone oil ? is there any test method for this one? most of lab they need specific targeted test parameter such as dimethicone. if we test only dimethicone, are we able to claim such "free slicone oil"?

SAP is stable so I cant see why you would want to do that, but I suppose that if you used a fine grade of it, you would end up with a similar result.

What will be the shelf life of this serum approximately?

The vitamin C will be stable for 3 years plus - because there is no water present! Ma'am, In one of your video of vitamin c formulation you have shown that raw L ascorbic acid oxidised and turn brown. In one more formulation you have ascorbic phosphate based stable serum formulation. Earlier dermatologist were stating that L ascorbic is highly oxidizable besides it give wonderful skin results. So they agreed that vitamin c derivatives are stable to use in serum formulas. Now trend has changed dsm is selling vitamin c which can be used in serum. How it is different as compared other coated and uncoated vitamin c? Now why suddenly this is being in creams and serum as ingredient name ascorbic acid and not turning the formula brown? They have not much said on oxidation only this much that it may turn slightly brown and can be stored upto 3 yrs.

Hi Monique, It is esters from plant oils - it is a lipid although not the straight plant oils anymore. Depends how grey you want that oil free area to be. Its not the original oils anymore, but it is a lipid material composed of esters (and other oil derivatives). Happy Formulating!
