Thank you for sharing your hair routine. I know this is an older video, but I am leaning towards flattening my hair more vs wash n gos and this was helpful.

Hi my hair is shoulder length i was it once a month i know i dont take care of it like i should just was and deep condition it yesterday and i flat iron it yesterday after two years try to see how to keep it straight
@ComaLies2253 жыл бұрын
What kind of dry shampoos and products do you use? The most i've been able to make my straight hair last is about 3 weeks and I could probably go longer but my scalp usually gets super funky and my soul can't have that, lol. I usually wash every week or 10 days. I normally go back and forth between straight hair or naturally curly hair just to give my hair a rest from the heat.
@ZeneseAshley3 жыл бұрын
3 weeks is usually about the max I can get and then I'll start to do buns/ponytails etc. or i'll wash it and go curly for a week, just to get an extra week in before straightening it again. I like the Dove dry shampoo line that I use and it works pretty well on my hair.

New subscriber here 👋🏾 love the content and I found you right on time. I’ve been natural for about 6 or 7 years now but I’m starting to feel like I can take better care of my hair while it’s stretched. I have 3b/3c/4a hair (yess all of them 😅) and wash and go’s just don’t last long, hair ends up super dry, braid outs/twist outs never come out right. I’m in looove with my curl pattern and the wash and go look but its time to really step up my hair care and start to see even better length retention. So glad I stumbled across your channel and I’m definitely going to look into that olaplex oil!

Lol I feel like I have a mixture of those curl patterns as well. It's different on different parts of my head. I'm so glad you came across my channel as well. Welcome! 👋🏾🤍

Do you work out at all? When i flat iron my hair, i need to wash it after about 10 days because of itchy scalp and reverted roots. I work out 5x a week and none of the dry shampoo stuff works for me. When i used to flat iron my hair in high school and not work out, i could go max 2 weeks. After that point, the shedding was crazy because the follicles get blocked up. When i wash/clarify my hair the shedding stops immediately. I don't know how it could be healthy to leave your hair for a month. The smell of the sweat and gunk would be overwhelming

How often do you get trims? Do you go to a professional?
@ZeneseAshley3 жыл бұрын
Yes! That's usually the only time I'll go to a professional. About 3-4 times a year. I just went and got a trim in October, so my next wont be til maybe Feb/March.

@@ZeneseAshley oh okay thank you! Could you make a video of your natural hair journey with pictures of how you grew your hair out to this Length? It’s so full and long😍

My hair texture is completely different than yours but I am so interested to find how your hair is all one healthy thickness with the heat even once a month? My hair is thick and wavy, It’s so impressive to see one thick piece of hair all the way through lol. I stay away from heat for several months, and it doesn’t look as great as yours ironed :( And when I do flat iron, it looks so frizzy and I always have to hit the roots every couple days, but that’s just my sweaty scalp I guess lol.

Ok I think this is the last question. What heating/deep conditioning cap do you you? I’m sorry so many questions. Trying to get my hair back to life. My hair is as long as yours. However; my hair has thinned with all the flat ironing from the salon
@ZeneseAshley3 жыл бұрын
I've added the link for the conditioning cap in the description box. It's a really simple cap you heat up in the microwave for 3-4 mins and it stays warm for about 20-25 mins!

Your comment def just May be a sign i shouldn’t go to the salon before Xmas lol…
@pamelabowser63183 жыл бұрын
@@dezpeaceify I feel like as long the salon is deep conditioning and treating your hair you should be fine. I also feel like some salons are just making money and are not concerned about the health of the clients hair. It’s true that we should make sure that our hair is deep conditioned and treated. But when you are going to the salon every 2-4 weeks, I kinda expect my stylist to know my hair. Just my opinion and Something to think about and discuss with the stylist you choose.

I been trying so long to get rid of my layers😩 i like how they look when it’s straight but hate how it looks when it’s curly. I’m so scared to straighten my hair bc of heat damage meanwhile i always wait a month compared to back in the day i would go over it three times a day for no reason😂😩😂😩 i know better

Omg! That’s what I worry about too, how my hair will look curly with layers 😩 but I really need more body to my hair when straight so that’s why I’m leaning towards getting the layers.

It's on 25. It goes up to 30 which is 450. So 25 is like 375/400ish.
