@GilderonGaming2 жыл бұрын
Between the horrendous level curve and painful grinding due to the non-linear design, I just can’t get into Johto, whether it be the originals or the remakes. Also, the ease of the majority of the battles, coupled with the severe lack of Gen 2 Pokémon utilized by key trainers (ie. Falkner and Chuck having solely Gen 1 Pokémon) is just too much for me to overlook.
@mattmc12342 жыл бұрын
@@GilderonGaming yh i mean i do think it is the best remake out of the 3 pokemon have made since at least theres another region in kanto to complete after defeating lance but yh the level caps are horrendous and the painful grinding i remember having to do to be able to defeat lance with his hacked dragonites definitely makes it so it doesnt reach my top 3 pokemon games

Hahaha, it's not so much that I love Johto; in fact, I'm a MUCH bigger fan of Hoenn for instance, but even still I can't deny that HGSS as remakes are absolutely packed with content, whether it's the Safari Zone, Battle Frontier, all 16 Gym Leader rematches, following Pokemon, Pokewalker, Pokeathlon, tons of QOL changes, etc. Would probably say something like HGSS > FRLG = ORAS > BDSP personally in terms of what they bring to the table beyond their originals.
