Pokémon Black 2 Hardcore Nuzlocke - FIGHTING Types Only!

Fighting types are physically powerful, but do have some glaring type weaknesses, especially in Pokemon Black 2. With that said, what if we got access to the full spectrum of Fighting encounters in Pokemon Black 2 ... could they beat the game's hardest challenge - a hardcore nuzlocke with only Fighting types?

We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only one type? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon Black 2 Hardcore Nuzlocke with only Fighting types? No items and no overleveling!

Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

I'm surprised you didn't use Emboar and Lucario as special attackers, so that your team wasn't so Physically heavy. Cause both of them actually have usable SpAtk stats and some special coverage

As a bit of context: Emboar gets Scald, Flamethrower, Hidden Power, Grass Knot and Focus Blast with its 100 Atk Lucario is Lucario and has all kinds of Special Attacks galore. Notably Aura Sphere, Flash Canon, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Dragon Pulse and Water Pulse (is Emboar Scald isn't enough) with Calm Mind and Nasty Plot vie move Relearner with its 115 SpAtk Also Crogunk/Toxicroak could also be a Special Attacker since it had stuff like Dark Pulse, Sludge Wave/Bomb, Shadow Ball, Icy Wind and Hidden Power with Nasty Plot to supplement it's subpar 85 base SpAtk

I’m actually currently doing this run on White 2 and you can get Heracross it’s just a really unlikely chance in the hidden grotto in Lostlorn forest! It’s a guaranteed hidden ability, though, so I got one after about an hour of looking with Moxie.

The answer is not the end of the world if the answer is yes, for me; but just curious; morbid curiosity question. Given you do few to no challenge videos in the more recent games like Pokemon X/Y and up; I am guessing you are among those who enjoy challenge runs of the older games-- perhaps like some, partly in fact because the need of HM Pokemon, as for some adds something to the run. About a fighting type challenge and Tepig; feel I have to say/ admit, of the 3 different fire starters who become fighting types, I'd make tepig the one I'd only use in black/ white cause there is no option. And in terms of staters who become fighting types with evolution, I'd put IF given a choice, the grass starter introduced in X/Y version as my third choice and Tepig always as my last choice; just my all around personal least "favorite" starter lol 😅 8:35 😂 that pokemon, he's like the guy in a cartoon who is asked when having coffee/ tea, asked how many "lumps" he wants and gets wholloped on the head the number given 😂😂

Having to wait until you beat the Elite 4 is why I still favor Platinum to other games. In Emerald, there is an excuse for waiting until postgame to get Metagross. But why do I have to wait to get so many Pokemon (which is in the B2W2 Pokédex) until after the Elite 4? I love Toxicroak, but I am sorry, it is no Gen 3 Metagross to be locked into postgame.
