We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only one type? Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Can you do a nuzlocke on scarlet and violet but instead of just going to the elite four how about you try and complete the game and fight the end boss? Well done on the run Silph! Here's an idea for a run you can do: it's the mono-move nuzlocke, where you are only allowed to use the first move listed in a 'mon's movepool while in battle. This means you won't be able to use set-up moves very easily because you can only have access to up to 6 moves per battle. I think it would be an interesting challenge!

One thing to recognize in a Dark-type run is that Fighting and Poison both resist Bug. In other words, that Durant didn’t have anything great to hit Scrafty, and it only went for Dig against Drapion because that’s its one type weakness. In general, when scouting moves? If you haven’t seen all four, assume they have that type you’re worried about - especially if it’s STAB for them, they probably do have it. I love Nuzlocke runs for myself as a player, and also watch a lot of different creators from PChal to Moxie2D to FlygonHG, ChaoticMeatball and others. One thing I am always looking for is, how frequently does that creator play around crits? I think out of everyone I watch, your runs have a great listenable quality that lets them be audio-only (not something every creator has), but I also notice that you rarely play around crits, even when you acknowledge that a crit might kill. As a result, not only are there sometimes avoidable losses, but they disproportionately include Intimidate users and screen setters BECAUSE you assume that those things make you safe. Unless you have something with Battle Armor (which you actually did in this run), those things do NOT make you perfectly safe. 1/16 is still a fairly high chance in a long playthrough. Battle Armor as an ability is at least as valuable as Intimidate, if not more - because stuff like Featherdance, Iron Defense, Cosmic Power etc. that normally wouldn’t be super viable, actually 100 percent makes you safer. It deserves to be valued way more. Anyway… end rant. You still seem to win most of these, but yeah. There is a distinct lack of preparation for crits.

i would teach krookodile fire fang for some type coverage at least until the elite four. Bug types can be quite tricky in this game. Also you missed the blackglasses in castelia but is only accessable when the sewers are full of water and knowing surf. It could be a great asset early game

Hey silph, tip for the flying type gym. On the same turn that a flying type uses the move roost, it can be hit by a ground type. However this is only on the same turn as roost and you have to move after roost has been used for it to work

Something I think only I did was grind out all the polestar studio stuff after the second gym. There is alot surprisingly and I remember talking to a clown that sold photos of celebrities and stated that my character had some photos in stock but wasnt the best seller. Before that he would say we dont carry any of "said character" I was always curious about what happens if you do every single movie but I never got to it. I can always revisit, I still have the game and its alongside my favorites along with pokemon platinum and pokemon white
