Love these type specific nuzlockes and really wanna try them. I’ve done a “friendlocke” in platinum where all Pokémon had to evolve through friendship. I’d love to see you try something like that in a gen 2, 5, or 6 game which I think would have a decent number of choices (like 4-9 lol)

A tip on Gligar for BW2 runs is, you can skip it. In the shaking grass on the same route you can get a Gliscor without needing to evolve it.

If you allow hidden grotto encounters in your nuzlockes, before the League (although I can't remember specifically which route), you can find a v rare Gligar with Immunity, which evolves into a Gliscor with Poison Heal

tried this 2 weeks ago, it was crazy. Krookodile, excadrill, seismitoad, stunfisk, claydol and flygon were my team and I was surprised how good they were. Also krookodile learns outrage, definitely helps fighting iris

Have you ever considered trying to do a monotype nuzlock with a randomizer? Maybe leaving the trainer battles standard and randomizing only your encounters. it would certainly be more luck based but I think it could be interesting and really challenging with the amount of on your feet thinking it would take

Love the video! Ground types were always my favourites. I'd suggest considering banning boosting moves, however. You're an expert player and know the games and mechanics extremely well - with wide varieties of Pokemon available in challanges as these you might be able to beat the game anyway ;) keep up the great content

Gen 4 was the real justice to the ground type. Gastrodon, gliscor, mamoswine, and garchomp alone are staples in their own rights if I have the opportunity to get any of those Pokémon it’s hard to pass one of them up.

I've been working on my own hardcore nuzlocke of B2W2 challenge mode, but I'm not very good at nuzlocking and have only ever completed Emereald and Leaf Green successfully. I've wiped to Ghetsis twice and the tilt on the second wipe caused me to want to take a break. So it's insane to me that you're able to consistently defeat Ghetsis monotype. Sometimes because you're so good at the content side of things, it's easy to forget how actually good at the game you are.

So for if you are using the universal Pokémon randomizer, you can actually just have a button on the first screen bottom right that says “change impossible evolutions” that makes the metal coat and hold and level up item
