I've been enjoying the channel since it's earliest days. Find your poured pieces very interesting, and wondered if you even considered using Styrofoam? It's a really great way to avoid the hassles of multiple piece molds. #Silver

Dave, first of all thank you! But that’s an interesting comment, I’ll need to look into that, because I remember hearing a vague reference to styrofoam before, but I don’t know anything about it. Could be a great thing! If you have any video links or anymore information I’m very intrigued. 🔥🦈🌊

@@SilverOceans Surprisingly there are only two videos on KZbin using this technique, this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnmQgZSEqsytb9k The other uses styrofoam cups to make aluminum cups. We used to do it in "Shop" class back in the 1980s. It's a nice shortcut over the ancient method of making a wax model, encasing it in sand, and melting it out or dealing with two or more piece molds. Have you done any work with wax?

I haven’t used wax, but I’ve done some research on it and I was considering getting into it. Great knowledge to have, just to know what all is possible. @@SilverOceans Styrofoam is nice since craft places sell it in spheres, cubes, cones, etc and it cuts/forms easily. The wax method is great because the amount of mold shapes and choices on EBay is nearly limitless. Making home silicone molds for wax is super easy too. Lots of fun to be had.
