One day in the year 2024.
The gorillas were restless, wary of something.
Shabani the silverback and Ai the female were especially wary.
There was construction work going on near the gorilla house, but they didn't seem to mind the construction noise.
Nor did they appear to have had any visitors.
If Shabani is restless, all the members of the group are restless.
The silverback gorilla is a big part of the group.
And the gorillas were restless, the chimpanzees in the neighborhood were also restless.

Shabani was born in the Appenheul Primate Park, Netherlands.
Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

@@lady4vols Aw, haha I had the same relationship with my grandmother on my mom's side. (She was 10 times worse to me than Nene is with Annie.) But when I saw any opportunities as I was getting older, I took every one to give her a little preview of what Hell was going to be like. So, in a way, I do get Annie's feelings. Even though Annie has one of the biggest places in my heart, I do adore Nene. To me, she's such a beautiful mother to Kiyo and Ai. Also, she has so many adorable and hilarious grumpy/sassy quirks. I just wish Annie and Nene could have a loving relationship instead of a tolerant one. Oy, I'm always writing novels. Apologies!

I can never get over how much Kiyo is such an affectionate little gentleman. I've never seen a gorilla give so much tenderness to others. (Which he must've learned from Shabani and Nene's love they expressed to him his whole life.)

I am watching from West Virginia. Thank you for posting your wonderful videos. I worry about the interactions between Momotaro and Gentaro. I understand it is a normal progression as Gentaro becomes older but hope neither gets hurt. My favorites are ❤Genki, Kintaro, Shabani and Annie.

@@VA4LVRS no, Nene is Kiyomasa’a and Ai mum, Nene is Shabani’s first wife and Ai is Nene’s daughter and Shabani’s 2nd wife, Shabani is not Ai’s dad,, I’m very sorry I forgot his name but he passed away.. Annie is AI’s and Shabani daughter.

AI stands up just as straight as any human I know. I’m always amazed when I see her on two. As for them being on alert, that’s just Shabani running his monthly drill to keep everyone on their toes or maybe knuckles🤔

I can’t help but to feel for these magnificent creatures. I do believe they are well taken care of in this facility however it appears to be made up of concrete, steel and a few ropes. This doesn’t resemble there natural habitat one iota! They are intelligent animals, intelligent enough to know, they do not belong in these confines. Having been at one time in incarcerated myself, I can only imagine how they must feel. that being said, I imagine they felt the same way I did trapped and hopeless!!!

At 1st i thought he was a bully Silverback & just not letting them go out. Then i heard that contruction like noise & now i get it. Hes keeping them in to protect them. I love how he sits in the doorway like come here near my family...i dare you 😂. He even goes outside to get a better look. 😂😂. I. Would NOT want to be considered a threat to him 😂😂

I always wonder if the noises from the loud "humans" ever bother the gorillas. If that was my home, it would bother me to have people constantly watching me and loud kids.
