I don’t usually comment under videos but this is simply the most emotional, touching, moving performance of my top-favourite silverchair song. It was for a long time (and sometimes still is) a soundtrack to my own emotions. Everything about this performance is astounding. It made me overcome with emotion and simply brought me to tears. I’m totally amazed with how Daniel Johns managed to relive such dark emotions every time he performed this (and his other dark) song(s), like Ana’s Song, Black Tangled Heart, etc etc... And I’m absolutely not surprised that he moved onto different musical style because you just can’t get better if you’re going to be coming back to that darkness, even if it’s absolutely genius. I really respect Daniel for moving on, as it’s the best thing he can do for himself, is to stop revisiting his dark past by singing silverchair songs. Anyone who gives him crap about what he is doing now (or his image) is selfish, ignorant and shallow. Let’s just be thankful that they left such an incredible legacy for us to enjoy.

Yeah most people who were into the frogstomp era that I know reckoned silverchair went gay around neon ballroom but that album and a few songs of diorama were the best:) great vocals and not to bad lyrical content:) DANS VOICE IS PRETTY DAM STRONG ESPECIALLY IN THIS PERFORMANCE:)

Finally someone who understand. People either want pain and pain, or they don’t care and when the artist die, guess who’ll be writing ‘r.i.ps’ all over everywhere. I respect him too ! I got into that band, wonderful just a month ago, maybe even less and I was literally hooked in 10mins. It just grabs you no questions asked. And I really, really said to myself ‘if this man died of something as horrible as drugs or suicide or anything like that I’ll loose my mind cause I just can’t lost someone else from the world of rock, let alone music.’ So really happy that he’s doing fine, and I don’t give a rat’s ass about wether what he’s doing pleases anyone, or if it’s even good, because everything is not about the audience !! Almost everything isn’t ! An artists does stuff for himself, that’s like the basic description of music and pain. And about that, it can’t last forever. That’d be the crullest thing. If only some just stuck around...maybe selfishness ? Not wanting to suck so you just die. Kinda harsh to say it but if that isn’t true ? I don’t doubt Daniel will make it through and do great stuff again, problems take a little time to adjust. ‘I Will Wait For You’ 😉

Eveyone talks about the Rock in Rio performance, wich was also great, but this one was... I don't know. It was kind of a collective soul clense. You could see some people crying in the end. R.I.P Silverchair from their homepage: "We formed Silverchair nearly 20 years ago when we were just 12 years old. Today we stand by the same rules now as we did back then ... if the band stops being fun and if it's no longer fulfilling creatively, then we need to stop. Therefore after much soul searching we wanted to let you know that we're putting Silverchair into "indefinite hibernation" and we've decided to each do our own thing for the foreseeable future. "
