25 years and I've never heard that acoustic Abuse Me. Thanks for sharing.

His vocals are world class by any standard. And one very, very clever musician - his writing, his "exclamation mark" fills on an electric, his riffs speak which he contrasts with the melody in his voice. Freakin' awesome if you ask me.

Premium performances, friend. Very consistant live (well rehearsed). "Amazing" is definitely an authentic adjective.

I don't know what's going on like these kids are wearing shirts of bands in the 80's to like late 90's and early 2000.. It's like a fad or trend & they know all about the bands.. Ok now about this band and music in the 90's I was younger and it was the best time of my life why? Well it was the most special time of my life, I will always treasure the moments unequivocally and the friendships back then.. This connection is not just to music but when I experienced all my "firsts" in life it all correlates to my first alcohol experience, cigarettes, marijuana, music, and my first real girlfriend.. I bought Silverchair's first cd Frogstomp and loved the picture of the frog, I actually called it Fred and my g-friend said I had mental problems lol.. I played that cd all the time and learned lots of their songs on my guitar and of course "Tomorrow" was the first one.. This is crazy I'm literally seeing tons of Silverchair's music and videos everywhere all of a sudden, I think this music is coming back.. Like history repeats itself irrefutablely and again young people are wearing shirts with rock bands, grunge bands, and even Iron Maiden shirts feathered by Ozzy Osbourne shirts.. Like I went to the Tim Hortons donutshop in Toronto and the kid that served me saw my Pink Floyd shirt with the Darkside of the Moon.. He said: "Amazing shirt man that's a kick ass album, I think they released that album in 1975/76" I was like ya I think so.. Then he proceeded with telling me all about the band members and Gilmore fighting with Rogers but they made up now.. I'm just amazed how these young people have re-resurrected the musicians that I used to listen to when I was there age.. Anyways this comment is starting to look like a book but this stuff here just touched me like bringing me back in time when I had all my "firsts" amazing experiences and now I'm an old man dam does time ever fly by.. Oh sorry I just wanted to mention one more thing that Silverchair's "Frogstomp" album was made when they were only 15 years old when they recorded it with "Murmur International" and sold over 10 million copies worldwide.. That's how good this band is..

Daniel lost interest in playing in “silverchair”style music an moved on to a totally different style , it sucks that he doesn’t do the silverchair thing anymore but at least he is happy
@hevoskuiskaaja20083 жыл бұрын
They split during the production of their new album. I believe the sound Daniel had in mind didn‘t fit into the Silverchair picture anymore as he seemed to be happy and the happiness was expressed in much more happy sounding music. He released a fantastic solo album called Talk where „Going on 16“ is released, this was supposed to be a Silverchair song. His solo album is incredibly sensual and more R&B like. The fact that he with his grunge voice can full off a album like this is mindblowing.
@sappykurt44152 жыл бұрын
the last album had 2 songs debuted in 2010 Going on 16 or 16 (which was already mentioned, and become a Daniel johns song) and Machina collecta

To bad silver chair didn’t stay together. I saw them live in New York City. What a amazing show. Daniel went a different direction with his music and honestly the wrong direction. He didn’t stay true to his music and was a sell out to his fans. What a shame!!

Scott Robertson you are completely wrong. His fans preferred his old sound yet he was true to his music and made what he wanted to make.
@bryanmmusic5 жыл бұрын
Id say it's probably the opposite. He's making the music he wants (even though it's shit). He knows that if he got back with Silverchair it'd be guaranteed success and money. Now THAT would be a sell out.

They started out like a Nirvana wanna be band. But because Daniel has such a clear singing voice they transcended that influence and went down their own path! I wish they would reunite for one last Reunion Tour before it’s too late. It would be incredible!
@aleclaughing8504 жыл бұрын
No they didn’t start out like that
@charliemillican4 жыл бұрын
@@aleclaughing850 exactly dude they sounded nothing like nirvana they were heavier
@angel21yay3 жыл бұрын
No, they didn't start that way, Nirvana songs are heavier and punk because of Kurt's voice, and silverchair is quieter grunge because Daniel's voice is softer
