My grandmothers father was a collector and she had the sister coin of your Georgia quarter, the Alabama 2×2 (rarer version) in a cup full of coins. I quickly took it and put in in a collective sleeve. It was a 125-500$ (depending on grade) coin in the 1990s when I found it.

Very awesome pickup! Anyone that says offering 75% is too little is crazy, 75% is very generous if the intent is to resell. If its going to be sold on eBay or wherever, that's 10-15% right off the top plus shipping and time. Not only that but most people these days at a show or other place will also ask for about 10-15% off eBay as well when trying to do a deal. You're offering a service for someone that doesn't want to put in the time and upfront cost. Keep up the great content!

Censoring is horrible. Censoring history is changing or erasing history. Who can then learn if that is done. History can in fact just be a look at what actually happened, with no bias since we weren't there. We don't need to feel uncomfortable over what someone on another continent did before we were born.

I have a 1971 Lincoln penny, brown in color, with no mint mark it appears to be damaged from factory. The # 1 in the # 19 is missing and the 'ty' in liberty is missing and smudged, do you think it would be worth anything?
@kjhkj Жыл бұрын
Brown normally lowers the value from if it was red. Normally you can look up coin variations from a couple different websites but normally unless its in perfect grade its not worth much. I have 4 very decent pennies 3 1960 with a bie error and 2 d/d errors and a coin from the 40s all worth 8 bucks or under. Most errors are not well known or looked for to be worth much sadly

Honestly when you say it’s uncomfortable to own those nazi coins, I kinda disagree. Now by all means I’m not a nazi but I love history and I think owning one would be nice to have. For one they aren’t common and two they still have that silver content to it
@codymoreland44962 жыл бұрын
This world is ridiculous. It's a coin. It doesn't define someone. Imagine you own a documentary of a serial killer. Does rhat make you a serial killer? Like all the idiots destroying statues. It's literally a rock. 🪨 How can people be so offended by a rock or a coin? Ridiculous in my opinion.

Hi Picker, regarding the 1932 Lincoln, I couldn't tell the grade from few seconds i saw it with the phone I'm using, but it looked RB. Are you saying the coin was a lower grade and not worth $70, or were you saying it wasn't worth $70 because it wasn't stabbed by a reputable grading company? I asked because $70 is a fair price for an 32 p RB at ms-65. Of course I would look for a better price myself, but $70 isn't agregious.

I really enjoyed the video and have been a collector for a number of years. Like yourself I'm not a fan of the nazi coins, however I do own one because it was part of a set, and yet I cringe every time I happen upon it. You did state that the commemorative half dollars have been around since 1892 starting with the Columbian Exposition. There was a lull in 1954 when our government stopped producing commemorative coins, and in 1959 Robert McNamara started the Heraldic Art series coins in .925 and 22k gold. In 1982 the commemorative half was re-introduced and continues to this day. Thanks for the great video.
