You DO know that new things are happening all the time in the music industry? The only Emo/Screamo bands i like is Brand New, Brand New and American Football are great. We now have grindcore breakcore, multimashing genres like Machine Girl. And there is always more hardcore/chaoscore/noisecore bands like Converge that are doing so much more than this guys ever did in life. Then there is HEALTH, Kero Kero Bonito, The Soft Moon, DIIV, Have a Nice Life, Death Grips, etc. There are so much new bands, or older bands with a new sound that was refined long before these guys even started to making music, like Cult of Luna. Yes, those bands are not from "one" scene, but music is always evolving and keep pushing forward. Even Brand New released Science Fiction in 2017 to critical acclaim. So yes, there is room for Emo/Screamo/Hardcore music still. But it has to be good. You think this is good just because we were kids and now you are feeling nostalgic a bit, just like i do. But honestly, the more i look into the music, the more garbage it is. This type of music died for a reason, it was sacrificed for the greater good. Any teen will have good memories of what they listened to and think back about it and say "Oh yeah, this was great, it really feels nostalgic." It doesn't matter if this was THAT scene, or it will be a new scene, or an older scene of music.

Silverstein is not just my favorite band still after some time, they’re also my Emo legends (yours too, haha)! After decades of their career, they’ve managed and still are managing to put out such amazing albums & songs. You don’t have to love every album & song by them, but you have to admit that everything by them is so fucking amazing. You have to have some variety in albums & songs, otherwise it would be so boring listening to any band. I really hope that vast majority of Silverstein’s fans agree with me on 100%. If you don’t, I pity you. Silverstein is one of the few bands, if not the only band, which has stayed so fresh after all these decades. And in my personal opinion they have even managed to become better than before. Not every band has at least stayed the same. Some bands don’t even exist anymore and still haven’t come back yet. This is why Silverstein is still my favorite band after some time now. Can’t wait to hear more new songs & albums by them, to keep going to their concerts, to see them during VIP times, to buy new albums by them, etc.

After 20+ years of their career, Silverstein is one of the few remaining bands, which: 1) still exists without ever breaking up 2) hasn’t gone into pop sound (yes, Silverstein is not exactly the same band as it used to be, but name one band, which hasn’t changed completely over 20+ years of its course. I bet that you’ll not find any bands, which have stayed exactly the same throughout their careers) 3) has most of its original line up 4) still has amazing live performances These are the reasons why Silverstein is still my favorite (number one) band. I’m extremely tired of seeing complaints about their newest albums starting from A Beautiful Place to Drown. YOU CAN’T EXPECT THE BAND TO WRITE SONGS/ALBUMS IN THE SAME STYLE AS THEY’VE BEGUN 20+ YEARS AGO FOREVER! THEY WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW AND YOU CAN’T BLAME THEM FOR THAT! I can't even believe that this video is still getting so many new views and that so many people hate it. This came out over a decade ago. If you are listening to it now like it's something new, then it is what it is, but even then I don't see how it can get so much hate. But I personally listened to it when it was brand new back in the day and it's still as good as it ever was. And I saw them in concert within the past year and the show was fucking amazing. 27 years old and still LOVING Silverstein. Good music is good music. Terrible audience is terrible audience. Hey now, don't put Escape the Fate and Brokencyde in the same category. ETF's first 2 albums were good (although I prefer the first). After that though they did go downhill, but Brokencyde never even had a hill to go down, it's just... you can't even call it shit because that's offensive to actual shit. Anyway Silverstein is absolutely phenomenal on all their albums, but ETF has good stuff too. Now a band i would put on Brokencyde's level is Blood on the Dance Floor, they're baaaaaaad.
