I saw Nikki, Brian, and Christopher back in the 2000's. I was walking home from school (near Silverlake) and they were across the street chilling in front of a house. I was too shy to walk up to them but Nikki noticed me staring and she smiled back at me. I had never blushed so much in my life.

Ahh, come on guys, , ,no one's old here. . . .no one's late. . . hell, I'm 58 now. I found Silversun just after Swoon was released. I had never heard of them at all. I was at a Car Stereo place getting a CB radio installed in my truck. And in the stereo department, the manager was playing Silversun Pickups. . . . you know, in that stereo area where you can raise and lower the volume and play with the stereo settings. . . .And they sounded so fabulous. . . .I just had to know who they were ! So I asked the manager. . .and he told me all about Silversun Pickups !! And there I was !!!

Nikki uses the “pinky rest” technique to mute the other strings by resting her pinky over them while she picks the strings, a technique I thought I seen her use in the “Well Thought Out Twinkles” music video which was really hard to catch considering it’s all coated with special effects so I came to this video to confirm it and I was right! A good technique to use when you’re starting off, I’ve evolved to a flat fist but this one is just as effective! (I don’t know who needed to hear that.) Great music video, loved the concept!

A very rare cello part that matches the cello in Meg Meyer’s songs, but it’s as standout as it is, it is not as intrinsic and intertwined assay in Meg’s desire since it’s a stand out solo... what is just a different and beautiful concept ...not better or worse but different! Thank the varied Deities of Music Music and all Arts!
