I don't know how much more I could love a song. This is ultimate rock. The drummer is in beast-mode, like Bonham or Keith Moon. I turn it up loud with headphones, and god help me I will need hearing aids soon.

yes for sure. a semi-widespread trend amongst indie rockers, if only for a short period of time, during this leg of the indie rock trends, circa 2007-2013-ish or thereabouts. But yah Silversun Pickups definitely was able to “crystallize” this sort of sound during that era of indie rock not so very long ago. My college years!
@Vykk_Draygo
@Vykk_Draygo Жыл бұрын
@@nozrep Certainly not just from that era; it's a theme of shoegaze (or nu gaze, if you prefer) in general. Granted, they aren't always aggressive, but the wall of sound with floaty vocals is pretty common for the genre. Anyhow, even going outside of shoegaze, you have bands like Smashing Pumpkins that have a similar approach.

Time, it's never worth my time Blue shine, bleeds into my eyes I still, sleep on the right side But the white noise Can't leave the scene behind Could I be anything you want me to be If so is it meant to be seen When you see yourself in a crowded room? Do your fingers itch? Are you pistol-whipped? Will you step in line or release the glitch? Can you fall asleep with a panic switch? When you see yourself in a crowded room, Do your fingers itch? Are you pistol whipped? Will you step in line or release the glitch? Do you think she'll sleep with a panic? And I try, to hold on tight tonight. Pink slip, inviting me inside. I want to burn skin and brand what once was mine, But the red views, came ripping the divide. If I go anywhere you want me to go, How will I know you still follow? When you see yourself in a crowded room? Do your fingers itch? Are you pistol-whipped? Will you step in line or release the glitch? Can you fall asleep with a panic switch? When you see yourself in a crowded room, Do your fingers itch? Are you pistol whipped? Will you step in line or release the glitch? Do you think she'll sleep with a panic? I'm waiting and fading and floating away I'm waiting and fading and floating away I'm waiting and fading and floating away I'm waiting and fading and floating away When you see yourself in a crowded room? Do your fingers itch? Are you pistol-whipped? Will you step in line or release the glitch? Can you fall asleep with a panic switch? When you see yourself in a crowded room, Do your fingers itch? The early alternative scene was back in the 80's. Alternative rock is a genre of rock music that emerged from the underground music scene of the 1980s and became widely popular in the 1990s. The term "alternative" was coined in the 1980s to describe punk rock-inspired bands on independent record labels that did not fit into the mainstream genres of the time.

Hard to believe I used to play drums and do vocals, lead singer in my band Radical Ravens! That was so much fun!I was good on drums but was a really good singer. That is until life haplened!I've had lots of problems and surgeries but, I've been deteriorating for many yrs and things that should and was easy is so hard now and was finally diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and I can't play drums nor sing anymore! Its really hard because I love to sing and it was an escape from life and all the stress and BULLSHIT it intells! I mainly played drums to songs I wrote and I could do Eagle's, C.C.R.(grapevine was my jam!)a few others and my own.I miss those days!I miss being healthy. I love this band and they remind me of the Radical Ravens! this song and lazy eye'are my favorite by this band!The only problem is I can't play it as LOUD AS I WANT!🎤🎶🎧💣

So it's August 3rd, 2021. I have had this song stuck in my head after a decade of forgetting this was actually a song. It kept popping up my head over and over again at the weirdest times. I'm in the gym right now and it popped in my head again. So now I couldn't take not knowing anymore so I went and tried looking for it. Oh man the power of technology. I put voice to text on Google and saw my phone gave me an option to try and find songs. But the problem was that I didn't know the lyrics, name of the song or the band, all I knew was the rhythm. Tell me why my phone gave me the option just to hum the song. So I hummed it and BOOM! it showed up as one of the possibilities. I immediately recognized the band and name and put it on here. I got to say, not only did this song give me the pump I needed, it also took 27 year old me back to high school when I was 15 and a fitness and skater freak. After a decade, this song is still fucking iconic. This is why I love KZbin. Memories never die.

This is one of those bass lines that’ll get you. The line seems simple apart from a couple shifts. The challenge is in the timing and endurance required to drive he song. Nikki kills it every time. She’s modest about her playing, but she’s the real deal.

As a drummer myself I've always wondered why he sets his crash so high . . .? But drummers are a weird bunch who have their own very particular and specific setups based on many factors (see Josh from Coheed), so I guess I get it. Hell, I must have done 50 laps around my new kit, adjusting things by centimeters, before I was satisfied, haha. All this to say: Yes, Chris rips.
