Here is a rock legend with absolutely nothing left to prove. He's played with all the greats, played everywhere around the world and lived a hard rock star life. But yet here he is, on stage for no other reason than the shear joy of performing. And he's still very very good. What a gift.

He was overjoyed from the moment he got on stage... the first song was somebody knocking, you can can go watch it on this guys channel. He was also fingers a blazing from the get go, he was right into it and showed it if you watch the solo in I shot the sheriff, also go watch the encore (high time we went) and the start of the video just shows how everyone in the room felt at that moment

justafanintexas - what details would you like? That Clapton, in spite of recent medical concerns, played as good as he ever did? .. Or the band was rock solid? or that Clapton has always remained true to his blues roots? or that Eric had Jimmie Vaugh abd Gary Clark Jr as openers??????
@justafanintexas79136 жыл бұрын
Al Desimone - Well, the fact he played a new reggae version of Tears In Heaven, for the first time publicly, for openers. You failed to mention that. And that would stick out, don't you think? And spare me putting up the alleged 2017 version from MSG - Nathan East just arranged this piece this past Summer.
@2008alde6 жыл бұрын
Ok .. I wasn't there.. are you happy now? you cna go on with your life. List .. the "reggae" arrangement was so subtle that it wasn't worth mentioning ... Oh I forgot to mention that Clapton sang White Room though Jack Bruce sang it with Cream .. oh did I mention that Clapton's rendition of Crossroads is far more serene than Cream version .. Sorry I didn't mention any of this because I was so caught up fibbing about being at the concert.. Laughable ...

The story is told from the point of view of a narrator who admits to having killed the corrupt local sheriff, and claims to be falsely accused of having killed the deputy sheriff. The narrator also claims to have acted in self-defense when the sheriff tried to shoot him. In 2012, Bob Marley's former girlfriend Esther Anderson claimed that the lyrics, "Sheriff John Brown always hated me, For what, I don't know: Every time I plant a seed, He said kill it before it grow" are actually about Marley being very opposed to her use of birth control pills

He might look good, but I’ve got neuropathy just like he does, and believe me, he’s suffering his ass off. That chair is there because your body forces you to sit down. Or lay down. The reason he’s doing better is probably because they found something that worked on the pain well enough for him to play an hour and a half or two hours once in awhile. It’s a real gift that he can get up there. He can’t play back to back because the next day he’ll be wiped out and in bed most likely. This is the most painful thing outside of late stage cancer. We all look normal because it’s all on the inside. It’s fucking ruthless, 24/7. Tear it up, Slowhand😁
