Funny story: I one time created such a major traffic issue that it stopped my oil delivery trucks from reaching to my power plants I was running a deficit. It got so bad that by the time a realized, I went bankrupt and had to take loans to fix the traffic issue, figure out how to get rid of the deficit. I couldn't find a way to get rid of the deficit and so I had to shut two power plants down and I was still running a deficit. Eventually, I had to take the other two bonds out and focus on growing a population with commercial just for more tax revenue and shut what could be shut. With no bonds left, I managed to get the deficits into the green...with just 18 simoleans left. Literally minutes from full bankruptcy. And I managed to get it to 110k in population with nearly no issues. The only real issue is that I can't really develop much more because of the river and before getting the colleges and university, I can't build more fancy things. Bonds where paid off and I retook them again to try and build larger utilities because city was having issues. Question: How do I create ports and those great works and fancy buildings inside the city?

Believe me, I have the same issues too. Looks easy but this map I have to put 2 police stations because of too much criminals :) ( more than 3.300 Criminals)

Good question, you have to be careful with park, if my city need $$$ people i will place more $$$ parks, $ park for $people, and if you need beautiful buildings or futuristic buildings you can also place more parks to make land value up
