Hey Dave, That plasma cutter looks like a fine machine for the homeowner type of work. I was surprised it cut the 1/2" as clean as it did. On the thinner materials you might pick up your speed a bit and see a cleaner cut. I think you do an honest report of the items you review, Thank you. Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life

Bestarc has a one year warranty. They updated their page recently I guess. Great info on the amps for the 110 usages I will never need to cut more than a quarter inch so any of the three would be perfect text. I am going to install a new breaker and dedicated outlet, still trying to decide on which one I am going to get but this was helpful! I think I would be annoyed as hell with the fan going non stop on simder.

Nice video. If I was 23 and in the market for plasma cutter , I would buy it. You gave great insight on the product. Of course, I’m 70 and the wife would plasma-me to death, so I say it’s a nice, but I cannot have one. Thanks

Love the channel and your content. Keep restoring that shoebox Ford. My first car was a 1950 Ford businessman coupe with flathead 8 and three two barrels. I was 14 and that old Ford would scoot down the road.

Good tool review. Curious if running on 120v without an extension cord makes a difference. Did you cut long enough for a thermal shutdown to occur?

The machine never thermaled the entire time. The cord used was 10 gauge extension I've used for 140 amp welders with no issues but honestly if you can run it direct it would certainly be better.

@@madgingercustoms I’ve been thinking of building a CNC for mine. The plans I’ve found on JD’s garage need a non high frequency cutter. This might be a decent option for that. My current plasma is pilot arc and wouldn’t work with that setup. Thanks for the info. New to your channel and have been enjoying the content. Keep up the good work.

I think these machines are supposed to work on 30amp 120 volt braker to get the real power

Yeah to be able to max it at 120v but the plug is a NEMA 15 so that dictates a 15amp circuit

@@madgingercustoms in my country we use 20 and 30 with the same plug so we see the difference in performance is there a difference in plug style for 30 amp in your state? My primeweld 285 mig says 120 by 30 amp but I use it on 20 amp breaker s sometime but it doesn't perform like on 30 trips easier on max 120 amps

Depends on material. Lower amps use lower pressure. Maxed out I'll run 60psi.
