The way TPM are, my vote will be against everything Maori. I dont have a choice as I see it if I want a future here. Its all linked as far as I am concerned. I am a created voter by their retotic as I am only 5 years in NZ. I arrived with no idea of NZ politics and TBH didnt want to. Since arriving I have been allocated a race I never asked for having never had one all my life, then told because I am that race I am nothing to Maori. I get reminded every day on the news what I now am and if I need an extra reminder, I can try and catch the Jenny-May Clarkson Political Slot on Breakfast TV. I get TPM are fanatics and I read strong Moari opinion against them, but TPM are having a negative effect on everything Moari. I cant seperate IWI from TPM or Moari Wards. Their retoric has created me as a voter and to exist in NZ as Non Moari, I feel I have no choice to vote against everything they do. I am in effect cancelling out a fantatical pro TPM/Moari ward voter now.

@@davidboyd8113 labour tried to leverage off a problem to cement in an ideological objective. At tremendous cost! The three waters things was developing since the early 2000’s. Consultancies, contractors and politicians saw opportunities.

One of the reason that we have lost touch with our councils, is that we no longer have daily news papers. The other is that most of us know that they do not listen to us or their councilors

The problem with local government is that as a voter it is very difficult to figure out what exactly you are voting for. Some guy says he wants to lower rates, cut red tape and focus on essential services but who knows? There are no political parties with coherent and predictable plans. There is no history & no up and coming politicians depending on their parties good name to keep their seniors honest.

One of the huge cost issues which are never discussed in most, if not all, interviews about councils and rates are the huge abundance of public groups which require and get large funding Yes, I understand these things give to people on a soul and emotional level but they're costing so much, are not utilities and infrastructure and not been assisted to make themselves independent after a time period. We are expected just to constantly pump millions of dollars of funds into them We are funding so much wants, desires and niceties and this has helped push us into irredeemable debt, huge costs with little to show for it and floundering infrastructures

Localism! The new government doesn't follow its speak. He forgets Auckland and other councils provided pensioners flat at low cost in 1970s and beyond. Neoliberal economics said this wrong. Why? It is an example of the new governments view. The new government and National governments since 1990 have looked run down state houses, social security system, rationed health services more and more, cut back on lots public spending which was affordable in the period 1946 to 1975.
