I've known Rekha for a long time. I find her very absorbing - and entertaining too. She is a great mimic!
We have endless phone talks - always about four hours! And each time she surprises me with new facets in her to love. Rekha is immensely wise and astute. Acutely observant. Has an elephantine memory. She is also the least self-obsessed star I know; someone who never harbors a mean thought or word. Rekha loves generously.

What i got from this interview is: She had a difficult childhood... Unavailable father.... responsible at early age...Went through so many things alone... Couldn't express her feelings...Just learnt through every situation & lesson in life...Had to accept everything...Had to forgive everyone....Reality always hit her so hard but she always chose to prefer imagination... Hopelessly romantic...Fell in love with unavailable man...Bcz her idea of love is full of fantasy..& it doesn't exist in real world..bcz imagination is always better than reality..In our imagination we can imagine literally anything...Whatever we want! So yeah maybe in this real world she has lived a rollercoaster journey,learnt lessons,learnt through pain,forgave everyone,accepted everything..& maybe people may feel bad for her... Someone who has always yearned for love on such a deep level, not being reciprocated keeps pinching, silently, and steadily so. She had become very used to that. The fact that she believes in loving without expecting anything in return shows how much she has gone through and how much she has grown. The way Rekha talks about her father in such a praise-worthy way is very astonishing. It makes me want to salute her for having such a big heart. After watching the 3 parts of the episode, I have come to this conclusion (call me presuming, but), that she's been hurt all over her childhood, if not her whole life, by the people whom she loved. And she's been hurt so long that she has built a wall between them and herself. She's in denial, she convinced herself that she is not hurt anymore, that she is okay with her father. I can see her trying to convince Simi so hard that she is happy and she doesn't hurt anymore. To me it looks like someone tired of being rejected, being unnoticed, and being unloved, and now just not wanting to go into the pity drama. I know people will hurt for her, but that look on their faces would look like pity to her. Having said that, maybe I don't know better. Maybe, she is in that phase of her life that she might be actually happy. Maybe I'm too young and naive to understand.

Me too, im crying badly after watch all of 3, she always made me cry, she is my idiol, rekha is not only my all time favourite actors also my favourite person too. I salute her from my childhood till now. Her words, " pyar jatane ki liye bath korna jaruru nehi" true. There is always only a very special moment to fall in love & you don’t need to express it, you just need to live within yourself, you just need to feel the existence of love to him or her. After hearing rekha two times in the three part interview with Simi, I realize that the closing statement of Simi to her dat 'you have won' is so true n meaningful in her case. She has had many ups n downs in her life, periods of deep traumas, lonelyless. But she dealt with them positively... yoga, meditation, singing, dance. N today she is so positive in life dat as she said not a negative bone in her. As a human she has risen above all the humanly set backs n has set her self free binding herself, though with her sense of eternal love. This is winning in life ultimately! I was intrigued in the first two parts. In the third one, I can finally say she is so fake. And perhaps the first time in my life, I dont mean it in a negative sense. When you have been through a lot of pain and traumas in life, you become : 1. Destructive going around hurting others for your pain; 2. Suicidal and end your life; 3. Build a wall around yourself and live a very sheltered life. I think Rekha chooses to live as a mystery and don't want people analyzing her pain and life choices.Some people in the comment section are so emotionally immature that it hurts the eyes to read their ignorant comments.May be she hides from these type of people for the same reason.

I still remember when I was small, I used to watch ad of "rendezvous with Simi garewal" I was so fascinated by her dressing and her soft spoken way but I barely could understand English and I literally thinking,I want to know what they are talking and how these celebs are so comfortable with her. I want to be like her. Classy, elegant and charismatic with great hold on English language. I still make lot of mistakes and nowhere near speaking like her but her shows were motivation to me and still is.

Rekha is so beyond humans; she is beyond this materialistic world. Even though Simi tried to twist and turn her questions to dig out the ‘material’ from Rekha, Rekha stayed in her higher self. She is so smart in the way she handled life. Yes, ‘life has its trials and tribulations’, as Rekha mentions; but it is incredible if one can make the best and see the good side of everything; to forgive and forget; to dump the bad and assimilate the good.
