I’m not vegan but don’t bother much with meat. I very much need to lose weight and gain muscle, as a 62 year old, overweight woman. Your KZbin videos are clear, informative, and entertaining, so I’m subscribing, buying the book, and hoping that some vegan choices in my diet will be another arrow in my quiver, leading to better health. Thanks.

This comes at a perfect time!! I never know how to make a quick sauce other than tahini-lemon. Tip: toasting turmeric before adding it enhances the bioavailability of curcumin and flavor. (I dont know if its worth the extra amount of work, though 😅). Also, if you're gonna blend it anyways, you might aswell just cut off the peel of the lemon/lime like you did with the orange instead of squeezing the juice in (there is a bunch of nutrition that you don't get by just squeezing the juice).
@Simnettnutrition3 жыл бұрын

Oh yeah, great idea. I have grown them in the past and they were pretty tasteless. Not sure why, it was weird. Everything else worked and tasted awesome, but not the chives.
@ithildiess90483 жыл бұрын
@@Simnettnutrition Don't need to do that, my mother just buys a pot of fresh chives that has soil and everything and splits it into 4 pieces, after she cut them short ofcourse. and they grow up really fast to 4 fully grown pots. It's insane how fast they multiply, i dont think we ever bought seeds. This might actually be the easier way to do it. don't take my word for it though. Just copying what i see my mother do. Never done it myself. Edit: actually, forgot she used to actually plant them directly in the soil also. after splitting them. That way they grow faster and less maintenance. she has way more then she can eat every year.

Chives go to flower and seed at this time of the year in Ireland, and I think our seasons are similar, so maybe the chive greens are just out of season until summer.
