He’s unlike any other drummer, mastered open handed playing, can play anything, and feel is sooo good!

Love the drum rhythm he uses at 3:07 with the left china. He uses a similar pattern with the ride in a drum battle with louis Bellson. Awesome drummer.

It's a Swish Knocker on the left side. Not a china.

Taught himself to play both right-handed and left-handed so that it wouldn't bias his rhythmical choices and decisions.

Этот наверное единственный барабанщик у которого хай-хэт очень низко расположен по отношению к "рабочему".

Im sorry but not for me. Very technically great, but not the composition that you get from Collins and Thompson
@juanignacioquiroga43796 ай бұрын
Because what Phil and Chester did wasn't a solo. It was a duet. Very different thing.

My top three drummers are Steve Gadd , Peter Erskine , Simon Phillips ..................I also like John Bonham and Bill Ward (b.s.)....even though they were never as technical as the first 3.............Erii

You don't like Phil Collins, Chester, Paul Thompson Bill Bruford ?
@BluesBoy-ij2rb6 ай бұрын
@@robertsimpson9403 of course I do!!!.....those are top level drummers also , but the guys I mentioned (for me). ..are my top guys , I can play a little like Ward and Bonham ......for whatever reason I have focused on Gadd , Erskine , Phillips and when I get in the "watching and listening to " other drummers I get stuck on those guys , but when I watch them i want to quit !!!!...lol .......I was very young and stupid when I started I didn't want to take lessons , learn rudiments and learn the right way , so 40 + years later I'm stuck at a more basic street level garage band classic rock drummer !!!!......which I regret now ,!!!!...............Erik
