The sound quality on this is way above average, for Simon clinic videos, or any clinic videos for that matter. IMHO, No living drummer has really explored and mastered drum studio sound, tuning, dynamics, recording techniques, etc, to the degree that Simon has. He's just got everything so dialed in sonically and musically . He is also a master engineer in the studio. There's so much thought and experience going into his drum sound and the way he plays, that most people will never notice. Much of it is subtle, but the end result is just way beyond most other drummers. I'm rambling, but hopefully you get the idea.
