Cranked reso head, and high tuning on the batter side. snare wires probably pretty tight too. Very powerful attack because its a good Pearl maple shell and a clear batter head

I miss my MCX snare! I also just miss playing in general. I always tuned the resonate side fairly tight but left the snares fairly "stock" and then tuned the batter side a quarter turn past what I felt was almost too tight haha

@@Ravnkel Serpent Sermon had some fast blasting in it, but I think they slowed things down because their last drummer couldn't blast as fast without hurting, as you can see in his drum videos. He was groovy as hell, though, and my favorite after Simon. With Simon in the band, they can blast some black metal at 300bpm and the guy won't even blink.

Ravnkel I grew up with fantastic albums like « Heaven shall burn.... » & « La grande danse.... » and I never managed to resonate with the after Legion Marduk. Yet, I’m a huge fan of Funeral Mist since the « Devilry » EP. Just look at modern Marduk shows....it’s way too fast, soulless, clinical. Nothing in comparison with the Marduk shows from era 1996-2002. But then again, that’s just my opinion.
