When I hear this I think of my parents, and how lost I’d be without them. Every time I visit I’m reminded of the fact that they are getting older and the pain that fills me when I think of losing them🥺

I read your comment just by chance...Nothing prepares you for the moment of saying goodbye to your parents. What will hit you the hardest are all those things you didn´t say, all those questions you didnt ask...so...say, ask, kiss, hug...it will be never enough but believe me, it´ll lessen the pain and partially fill the void that becoming orphan is going to bring to your life.

No, not really. Many comes to the audition with a song they believe would be good for the audience and the judges, a selection from the mind. And when they perform it, there will be something missing. Their heart is not there, they ”play safe”. And Simon notices it right away. And that’s why he ask if there is a second choice. And sometimes there is (the producers of the show ask the contestants to bring with them more than one song in the case the judges doesn’t like the first one, and sometimes - actually quite often - it’s not but the performer gives a chance and time to reherse a different song and comes back later. But it’s edited into one performance when it’s broadcast. So the part when they go out and reherse a different song and comes back later, is edited out for the broadcast. So it looks like they suddenly comes up with a 2nd song, but in reality it is a couple of hours or more between the first and the 2nd song. I know several that audition before lunch and then comes back inte afternoon with a new song. And when broadcast it’s edited together so it looks like one audition when it’s actually two.

This is all an act. Simon is so phony and this kid's talent is mediocre at best. After the first few notes from him I knew he was a dud. The judges "Yes" votes were for his sob story, not his talent, which he has very little of.

If it sounded the same as the first one to you, that's your opinion. To me, it's the most beautiful song I've heard in a long time and I would pay money to hear it live along with a lot of people in the comments. To be honest, I don't really care about his sob story. His voice is extraordinary to me because it feels therapeutic listening to it and he's hitting all the notes in tempo and in key. It takes talent to touch people with your art. He did that to me. Not with his sob story but with this song. I listen to its studio version daily.

less than mediocre talent. It's all an act when Simon stops a performer and asks for a different song. Their four "yes" were sympathy votes. I don't give a damn about sob stories. Everyone has problems in life, but sympathy should not trump talent. AGT is supposed to be a talent show, not a pathetic sob story theater. AGT has some awesome talent. This kid has none.

Your are tough. I see your point. However, it was a good song. Let’s see if he has any range. If he continues playing the same type of music, then I agree. Look, I don’t get Billy Ellish. To me, all her songs sound the same and are depressing. I may be older, be I feel I keep up with the times. And I grew up when the music was great and the artists had “ range”.

So if you don’t have range, you can’t be singer? Go ahead and you write a song that resonates with whole arena of people so much that you can hear a total silence. Try to play piano and sing for the first time on a national television and do it like he did. Stop trolling from your computer when you have zero talent or guts to chase your dream like this boy is. All the sob stories on competitions like this are pushed by writers and each contestant has to sign a contract where it says that they can introduce each contestant how ever the shows wants.

@@RayMarsRover I think it's you who "knows nothing." You projecting yourself over a computer screen acting as if you're an expert on something you're not is both incredibly silly, and pretentious (no one is impressed pal, trust me. Many music legends were not technically great vocalists. David Bowie, Madonna, and Bob Dylan are a few that come to mind. There's more to music output and art than just simple range with vocals. There's nothing "objective" in what you said. You just come across as insecure and especially abrasive :)
