Oh my goodness, I am so excited and thrilled about Simone in Paris ! I knew that at Toykyo she wouldn't walk away from gymnastics forever after that ! I knew in my heart she would be back, stronger than ever before. I believe that she needed a break, but to see is coming back, I am so thrilled and Proud of her and her courage and strength. I'm sure she has new moves. She's so powerful ! She is Definitely the GOAT and a Legend ! I love her so much and she never gave up on herself and I guarantee she will win lots of gold and set many records in Paris! Way To Go Simone Biles. my guess is if she lands her difficult moves without hops backwards etc. she will def be the highest scorer for team US and at min win team all around Gold Individual all around Gold Vault Gold and Floor Gold like she did 8 years ago in Rio and possibly 2 silver on Uneven Bars and Balance beam she's never won higher than Bronze on Balance beam in the Olympics and would be only the second woman Gymnast in history to win all 6 possible medals at the Olympics behind Daniella Silivas of Romania in 1988 and the first Gymnast of color to achieve that the only others to win team all around and an individual medal at the same Olympics were Dominique Dawes 1996 team Gold and Floor Ex Bronze Gabby Douglas who won team and Individual gold plus Gold Floor Ex and Bronze on Balance Beam in London 2012. Simone is probably the most admired of her generation Gen Z just as Shannon Miller was for the later part of Gen X and much of the earlier part of Millennials granted since the equipment has gotten better the moves have progressively gotten more difficult and only the most difficult skills have an execution score of 10 like the Yurchenko double pike Vault double double off beam triple double on floor etc. though there have been gymnasts that do twisting double back somersaults for a few decades at this point Kim Zmeskal used to do 3 whip backs into a double twisting double back somersault as one of her tumbling runs from the 1989 World Championships through the 1992 Barcelona summer Olympics where she finished 6th on Floor with a 9.9 Bronze was a 3 way tie Cristina Bontas of Romania Shannon Miller of US and Tatiana Gutsu of Ukraine then the unified team score 9.912 the only one of them to compete in 2 Olympics was Miller Gutsu retired after the 1992 games and Bontas in 1993 though technically Miller actually made it to a 3rd Olympic trials in 2000 age 23 but withdrew due to a knee injury on Vault she scored a 9.84 in 1992 and a 9.4 in 1996 her winning score on beam in 1996 was 9.862 while Dominique Moceanu the other member of team US to make the Beam finals scored a 9.13 due to deductions for falling off beam and body form errors. also some of the original Vaults in the different families have been done for decades for instance Tsukahara was debuted at the 1972 Munich Olympics or the Yurchenko was first competed internationally at the World Championships in Budapest Hungary in 1983 and first done by an American at the US National Championships in May 1984 by Julianne McNamera or Tracee Talevera granted the format has changed there's no Compulsories or optionals goes strait to preliminary and final never mind the Airtime Simone gets on her triple double she went 13 Ft in air on 2nd night of Olympic Team trials
