I have several ideas for such a thing- mostly they just take the tropes of shitty yaoi and genderbend them (and the gender roles to an extent, meaning that butches are ukes and femmes are semes). One of the ideas came from my misreading the description for Citrus and my disappointment that it (or at least the anime version of it) is tragically non-toxic. I want more content like After They Left, and so am forced to plot out my romantic fantasy forced-masculinization thing by myself, and also the edgy magical girl soul-bond Citrus clone by myself

As an ace person I would actually be extremely amused by a re-imagining of Twilight where Bella is just a lethargic aroace chilling in Forks, being besties with Jacob and Edward, who both might be supernatural creatures, who both might be into each other, and who both might come to her with all their relationship-werewolves vs. vampires-not supposed to be into each other- BS. While she's just there, sitting in the corner like "Uhhuh, sure, go for it dudes, but hey have you TASTED that mushroom ravioli they serve in this one place hold on you gotta go there on a date or something" :'D Okay, did I get way too into this? Mayyybe. An uninterested human protagonist being dragged into supernatural hijinks that don't concern her in any way? Amusedly following her two besties dance around the fact they're angsty supernatural queers? Yes please xD

I forgot about the awkwardness of Beau nearly getting killed in Seattle and it having to be foreshadowed and contrived. There's something weirdly Gender coming from SMeyer with the idea that being a girl means that you can be in danger wherever you go, from any man, but being a boy means it has to be set up for a /reason/. And there's something to be said there (I exist as a woman, I've felt that), but also damn, couldn't Beau just be randomly mugged? That happens to people.
@JohnSmith-ch6pt3 жыл бұрын
Guys get into fights and/or get rolled all the time, walking home at all hours isnt recommended coz it does happen, it’s just that all the violence I’ve ever experienced put together isn’t as scary or unfair as Male on female violence. Being randomly mugged isn’t #deep enough though that’s totally low vibration behaviour.
