My bro can't eat a lot of gluten because of some medical problems that have him on a restrictive diet, but he really misses banana bread. I think I'll make this for him tomorrow.

If they feel better without it then what difference does it make if a doctor said it’s an issue or they observed the fact they feel shitty when having gluten products? Strict Gluten-free ain’t easy, yet it doesn’t harm anyone to go gluten-free even if not medically required. Lucky for OPs friend that OP cares enough to go out of their way to try something new so that everyone involved feels better. Medical or not, doesn’t matter, everyone involved is happy.

Awesome recipe! I am not GF myself but love trying out different flours to bake with and this time I had chickpea flour and wholemeal flour at home so I gave it a twist and it turned out great! Fluffy, airy and super easy to make :) I used -200 grams of bananas -80 grams ~ oil (half canola/coconut) -100 grams of soy milk -1/4 cup raw honey -100 grams chickpea flour -300 grams wholemeal flour -1 tbsp baking powder

Looks lovely! To get the bananas ripened, put in a paper bag on top of the fridge or a warm place. Or wait for them to ripen. A few months ago I made banana bread and it wasn’t coming out right to me. So I looked up why. The bananas has to be very ripened, you can’t over bake and it must be cooled all the way. I made the best banana bread after that. But no more treats for me 😩.. Best
