Is this the same formula you would use for virgin hair or this is mainly for hair that has been lightened before
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert Жыл бұрын
It is for virgin hair and would not apply to already colored hair as color does not lift artificial color evenly and predictably
@cherylkirby95015 ай бұрын
Hi Elaine, What is the formula / math formula you use?
@adelamoldovan93242 жыл бұрын
And what if you want a desired level 7,35 ?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert2 жыл бұрын
Hi Adela if a golden brown is desired then you have to take into consideration what RPC is coming from the hair and either enhance it or neutralize it. So if it is on grey hair you can simply use the 7.35 but if it is level 5 or deeper natural it will already be very warm when even using a neutral
@dfwlove Жыл бұрын
Very accurate explanation 🙏
@veselaandonova-kd2zo9 ай бұрын
If you use 8 for 6 on what level you do the neutralization (6.1 for example)? For a level 8 or a level 6?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert9 ай бұрын
Hi great question! You want to neutralize at the level you will land which in this scenario would be at level 7 which is orange so you would use all blue unless there is grey also
@davidw.37707 ай бұрын
Does this law work for highlift color too? E.g. Wella Special Blondes? I tried it out and it didn‘t get me as light as expected. I tried it on a natural level 6 medium textured hair and it turned out a level 8 only. I did use the math equation though😅
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert7 ай бұрын
When using high lift blondes on a level 6 the best you will get is very yellow blonde 6+12=18 18/2=9 so you want to use the coolest high lift available and high lift requires using 40 vol developer If you got orange it is possible your client was more of a level 5 or you used 20 volume and didnt let it process a full 45 min for max lift
@davidw.37707 ай бұрын
Thank you for replying!😁 I used Londa color 12/81 with double 40 vol./ 12% (In Germany we use %) and it just didn‘t get me as light as expected. I‘m a hairdresser trainee, so I tried this experiment on a hair strand that I cut off from a clients hair. It was virgin hair! I left the color on for 60 min. I did this experiment two more times to be sure I didn‘t do anything wrong. But always the same result. She only turns out an 8. Still a beautiful color but not close to „blonde“. I‘m really wondering what‘s going on here. Maybe her hair wasn‘t virgin?😅
@liviaghenea638814 күн бұрын
The universal law of lift you talk about is for virgin hair only, right?
@ElaineTraviscolorexpert14 күн бұрын
Yes and no because when you are retouching any client’s single process you use the math to formulate to match
@hannahvelazquez-ik7ts8 ай бұрын
1- how to match there natural color 2- no 3-nope idk how to formulate 😅😢 how do you know what to color i know the developers n lifting but idk what color to use, I do get the color wheel and all that goes with it , idk how to know ughh getting by for sure 😢 also just became a hair stylist at a salon I intern at. Thank you I’ll try this and look into purchasing your book! ❤
